Again, she can't exactly just peel them off. She'd actually have to break them - at physical cost to herself. It's best to think of her weapons and armor as just an extension of her skeletal system. They are all still connected to it.

So breaking them would be a bit out of character for her (Also somewhat difficult). She might if she was a nicer person, but she wants to see how well everyone can handle themselves on their own.
