[@Lucius Cypher] Well said. Just like it isn't a forgone conclusion fighting Vesta. Sure it will be bloody difficult to take her on, especially considering 99% of her fights are on the GROUND. Hence why she will have a huge advantage there but doesn't mean that she will win, always a chance of someone using wind magic for example to flip about in the air and catch her off guard. However say she's fighting aboard a ship? While there is earth beneath the water, there isn't much else to use and it would take time to get to where she is if she's manipulating it. (Hence why she keeps a pocket of pebbles on hand, better than nothing).
Not quite what I meant by forgone. A 1v1 against Vesta is tough, but not impossible, with the level of difficulty varying between locations of course. No, the battle was forgone because prior to getting into the fight, I had to accept that one of my characters would die. Thus, I tried to do everything I could to at least die without achieving something, but ultimately I at best wound some people, but otherwise accomplish nothing of great importance and died. It was a forgone conclusion because I was going to die regardless of how many people we had or who was helping me. I'm sure if Vesta was there even she couldn't save anyone, nor stop the enemy because the conclusion was that it wouldn't happen. I'd play my part in all of it, not that I particularly liked it.
[@Lucius Cypher][@ADamnFiddle][@ZekariVoblis] Just checking here, but is that alleyway still filled with a ravenous blood thirsty mob or are we saying that Duncan and Ease arrive in the aftermath (which might make sense if we want to move on to the next day finally)? Either way, I'll get a post up when I'm off work.
Not really much of a mob I think, mostly just dead bodies and wounded people. Assuming Ease didn't already forget, he could probably recognized the charred remains of Malakaus slumped over.
