- Lux & Gerald Luzpin -
Hah! The attention of the man was garnered, but why wouldn't such a spectacular magi of the shadows as he not? With such a humble response, Lux's grin grew even larger as he motioned in for a bow. Looking up from his station, the side of one of his cheeks pulled away, extending his smile on that side of his face. "Hah! Wisdom on one plate and humility on the other? Hah," he bellowed, shooting straight up as he leaned back, using one wide opened hand to slightly obscure his face, the other was extended straight out as if reciting a line to an audience.

"Such illustrioum suits a man of your passing, but exert not your modesty for none is required!" Without warning, Lux dashed forward before pivoting just slightly as he launched himself off the table, knocking what little ale was left from his mug in the process. It shot somewhat towards Gerald who instinctively shifted away from the projectile... before recalling he was ethereal and that the mug was a meter off from hitting the chair.

That wouldn't exactly stop the wisp from barking out at him for such headstrong actions. "Lux, mind where you're go-" The man was already upside down, spinning above the black mist, smile widening by the second as the spirit continued his verbal assault. "-ing, and respect the guests," his raspy voice called out as Lux landed onto another table, surprising the inhabitants who looked to be intoxicated.

"Ugh, when do you all receive your food," he whispered to one of the members, watching as Lux literally danced around the menagerie of chucked beer balls from the goofy smiling tavern-goers.

"Probably in about five minutes or so," Ven shrugged, chugging down the rest of his beer as Mayette cackled wildly beside him. Groaning, Gerald got off of his ill-gotten seat, noticing Lux was on another table already, making another ludicrous pose before dashing off to another. "I shall return; these sort of antics must come to a resoution..." He then floated after the man, shaking his head as he rapped his claws on top of it.

On the meanwhile Lux was nearing the table containing Sam and a couple of other individuals, he took a detour, ending up barely maintaining a semblance of balance on one hand as his legs shot up adjacently as if he knew some martial arts. He scarcely was able to take in the scenery, but briefly he recognized that one lady from earlier - the one who he believed was the least successful out of the myriads of people who went against the child's doctrine.

He fleetingly gave the brunette a wink and a coy grin, but not before he felt he was losing his balance. Jamming his hand against the table, he shoved himself up, but alas, tragedy would befall such a whimsical action as he flew through the air. As he glided downwards to finally greet those he denoted from earlier, Lux caught himself on the recesses of the table. Unable to maintain balance, he plummeted to the floor below.

"Oh crimey," he hissed, rushing forward to try and merge with his master so he too could share his phantasmal abilities, but he saw some shadows and how his partners bottom was becoming a black, goo-like substance, but continued towards the table. The process took a few seconds but it was like the boy melted away, never truly existing at all.

But...

"HAH! Just as planned," he thought to himself, finding his own being within the gloom. Lux rubbed his hind, wincing just a little bit as he did feel the surface of the floor as well.

Yup, he definitely planned for the considerable amount of pain that would be dealt.

Landing on the edge? On purpose; no miscalculation.

Not at all winging it.

Nope.

...

...

Gerald stared at the dissolved space where his partner entered, he sighed floating over to those occupying the table; a young man and the older man who went by the name of Samuel. "Apologies for my partners... inadequate display and screeching." He gave the duo a polite bow, putting his transparent arm across his chest before coming back up.

"Give him a second; Lux is attempting to act 'amazing' and oh so mysterious," he deadpanned, staring at the ground, pondering on where he might pop up... and he really wasn't surprised when he saw the man slowly rematerialize within the shadows across from him... how unexpected.

"Met before?"

A voice emanated from the newly reformed Lux... who took his sweet time coming out of that alternate realm. He smiled widely, crossing both arms across his chest. "A shade to those around, invisible as none shant hear, my silver tongue sheathed, as it never did fly at the child you rallied against with many others!"

"And yet, the threat looms on such yonder, strip those denounced as tools, useless, limp, and cowering the child shall become. I'm sure... but enough of such talk! I must properly introduce my partner and I!" Instantaneously, one of his arms flattened across his chest, another adjacent just as the former over his head.

"I who wanders within the evergloam..."

"I who is a mystifying whisper amongst untenable beings..."

"I who inspires fe-"

"Can we skip to the part where you shout out your name and title, then mine? I'm sure those you are entertaining don't want slews of feeble dialogue for ten minutes."

The smiling boy dropped his arms, pinching his dorsum as he frowned at the impatient mist who was tapping his darkened wraps. Sighing, he repeated the pose, letting out a sigh as he brazenly smiled once again.

"I am Lux of the Dimming Noir!" His arm shot out, palm supine as he attempted to direct attention to his spirit. "And this spirit is my legendary partner! Gerald the Forlorn! A pleasure to join such a list littered with many acquaintances!" As he finished, Lux swore his spirit uttered "finally" under his... ghostly breath.

Retracting his arm, he gave a polite bow to those at the table before glancing at the young man he was seated with... so...

This other guy he was with...

He must be that Gabriel fellow who was calling out to him earlier!... in a rather high pitched voice (can humans even hit such frequencies?)

"And you must be Gabriel! I have answered your plea, but I must say... Such an impressive throat! I never expected a pitch to rival one of a flute, especially for a human! A plausible hex or the gods chose you to herald a feature as is?"

... this was going to go downhill fast.
