Cody watched the two women for a while, before closing his eyes and listening to everything around him, to everythign outside of them around the building, using his enhanced hearing to do so. He relaxed slightly when it seemed the search team was moving on, but stiffened once more when he heard someone approaching. Cursing inwardly to himself, he rose smoothly, silently, approaching the stairs, he listened hard, waiting for any sign that they had found the hidden room, ready to blast out with attacks as quickly as he could.

Maria listened to the report, her gaze almost deadly in its intensity, before she said, quite calmly, her voice iron willed, "No, it was not the dragon creature. It was an earthquake. Sometimes, in natural disasters, the military needs to be assembled to maintain order, in the otherwise choatic environment. The military are equiped to deal with stressful, often dangerous, demanding and deadly situations, all of which can be seen in a natural disaster. 

Perhaps if you use your common sense, which sadly Iknow is not so common, particularly in your...profession, you could see that, rather then trying to cause a panic, you should be praise the brave actions of the military, expressing concern for the people suffering at the site of the quake, instead of trying to generate a few bucks from an article. 

Let me make myself clear, the earthquake was in no way a result of the dragon-like apperation, which we have yet to confirm even exists. There has been no sight of the apperation in a week, and no sign that there will be another sighting. We are doign everything we can to ensure peace remains with everyone, however we cannot do that with you reporters trying to undermine our every move. Anymore questions?"
