[@alexfangtalon]Mimic other people's powers? I don't recall anything like that from what my knowledge of an empath is. An empath simply is a type of psychic who can sense emotions and potentially project/manipulate emotions. 

Oh wait, I think there's also the possibility of feeling what another feels and perhaps being able to manipulate physical sensations too. (i.e. numb the pain for the dying but with the effect of having to feel the same pain they feel until you numb their pain)
