Seemed like Satilla was able to repel that skeleton menacing her, leaving the one attacking Thomas left. Why Thomas ignored that skeleton was beyond Ntaj, so instead he simply charged straight towards the skeleton, putting his whole body into an overhead swing to cleave the skeleton in half. But just as he did that, Ntaj heard an explosion in the distance. He didn't know if it was a fireball or a bomb, possibly a combination of both. In the hazy fog of his rage, Ntaj remembered tales of an orcish warlord back at Dark Star who had armed his slave soldiers with explosives. Known as the Martyrs, they would deliver their payload to the enemy before self-destructing, killing any that had gotten to them. Ntaj figured the skeletons may have done the same, and would be more effective for having no fear. He needed to think of a way to deal with these skeletons before they were in range to attack them. But looking around, the weapons were crude and useless. Some weren't even weapons, just farming tools. He cursed to himself for only taking his sword and shield, knowing that trying to fight these skeletons at such close range was just going to do more harm then good. Put perhaps... It Ntaj could be their sole target, then it wouldn't matter. Off hand Ntaj thought at least three of the others here had bows and were decent archers. Kyra he was certain, Calanon was an elf, and he was somewhat certain Sana had a bow as well. Thomas had magic too, so he could be of some use. All they needed was time. "I slow skeletons! Can't get close!" Was this suicidal? Sure. Ntaj had no doubts in his mind that this was going to hurt, and potentially kill him. But with a lack of a better plan, slowing them down was the best thing he could think of, and the only way he could do that was with his own body. So once he made sure that the skeleton attacking Thomas was down, Ntaj would head in the direction of the skeletons quickly making their way towards the group. With any luck he might be able to survive the first one that came to him, and take a few more down while he was at it. Not a perfect plan, but as far as Ntaj cared it was a good one.
