Leisy was drained from the day, but she scrounged up what energy she had left to work with her friends and carry the cage toward town. Although tired, Leisy wanted to do all she could for the poor Skuntank and her litter. Despite all they’d been through with the Poison-type Pokemon, Leisy still wanted to do what good she could, and that included bringing the cage to the nearest Pokemon center and getting the family checked in.


[color=gray]“Take care of them, please,”[/color] she told the nurse sleepily before heading to the back of the center with her friends. They each booked a room as the center was relatively empty, quickly drifting off into sleep once they’d entered their rooms.


Before Leisy fell asleep, she released all her Pokemon — Devinco included, as the Larvitar had just been healed up — and hugged them all. [color=gray]“You guys are the best,”[/color] she said sleepily before closing the light and collapsing into a deep, grey slumber.


[i]We’ll get your Pokemon back, Vivian,[/i] Leisy thought. [i]We definitely will. Just like how we worked together to beat the Skuntank, we’ll work together to find the people who kidnapped your Pokemon.[/i]

Shanae tossed and turned slightly as she slept, brows furrowing as she her dreams turned towards what had happened the day before.

The Sharpedo that Amatorius knocked out, however, was clearly the weakest and dullest of the trio as the other two immediately headed for the opposite side of the ice — the side where Otiosus was busy blowing bubbles. [color=indianred]“Oti!”[/color] Shanae shouted, breaking into a sprint toward her Pokemon. The Lotad paused in its Bubblebeam-ing, turning around in alarm as his trainer braked hard next to him. A little too slowly, however, as the ice carried her all the way up to the edge. 


[color=indianred]“Whoa!”[/color] Shanae yelped, attempting to scramble back. Otiosus, seeing his trainer’s distress, clamped his mouth onto her sleeve and attempted to pull her back. 


Luckily he was able to, and the pair landed on the ice panting. [color=indianred]“Thanks, Oti,”[/color] Shanae said while catching her breath, eyes meeting her water Pokemon’s before flicking to the Jigglypuff and Joltik scrambling over. [color=indianred]“Hey, I’m fine, I’m fine,”[/color] she reassured them, not bothering to try and get up as the Jigglypuff hopped onto her lap to check his trainer’s face. [color=indianred]“Really, Tori. I'm fine.”[/color]


Amatorius relaxed, hopping off his trainers lap before dishing another Disarming Voice at the two Sharpedo, both of which immediately ducked underwater. Sighing, Shanae checked their distance from the land again. Too far. 


[color=indianred]“All right,”[/color] she said, sighing and rising from the ice. [color=indianred]“I’m going to make a break for it.”[/color] 


Her Pokemon’s eyes widened in alarm, and Alcedo immediately clambered onto her trainer, settling on her head and securing her hold in protest of the suicide plan. 


[color=indianred]“Alci, you’re sweet,”[/color] Shanae said, heart breaking a little as she withdrew the Pokeballs, [color=indianred]“but you also know best what happens when you mix with water.”[/color]


Just as she was about to recall her Pokemon, however, there was a large sound — the roar of a large object breaking the surface of the water, the splash much larger than what a simple Sharpedo could cause. Shanae whirled around to see a large blue-and-grey Pokemon that had a peachy-pale underbelly and gentle but determined eyes. 


[i]A Lapras,[/i] Shanae thought, eyes wide and mouth open as she stared at the large eight-foot-tall Pokemon chase away the Sharpedo with a combination of Ice Beams and Body Slams. Soon enough, the Sharpedo had abandoned their pursuit and sulked off, leaving Shanae staring up at the Pokemon that was said to be as intelligent as to understand human speech.


[color=indianred]“Thank you,”[/color] Shanae breathed at last, snapping herself out of her stupor to give the dual ice- and water-type a polite curtsy. 


The Lapras bowed its head as well, closing its eyes briefly before opening them and leaning down to examine Shanae’s Pokemon. Alcedo and Otiosus looked on respectfully at the Pokemon who saved them, each offering their own thanks as the Lapras passed its head by. On the other hand, Amatorius piped up angrily when the Lapras came close, flailing his arms around in an attempt to get the shelled Pokemon to back off.


[color=indianred]“Whoa there Tori!”[/color] Shanae said, scooping the pink fairy-type up. [color=indianred]“Now now, be respectful,”[/color] she told him. The Jigglypuff stuck his tongue out and looked away, pouting. 


Eyes gleaming in amusement, the wild Lapras aimed a slight water gun at the fairy-type, drenching both trainer and Pokemon. As his trainer spluttered from the bitter salty tang, Amatorius jumped off and, dripping, pointed a challenging paw at the wild water-type.


“Jiggly! Jiggly, Jigglypuff! Puff!” he shouted angrily, growing slightly red as his eyes squeezed together in effort. The Lapras made a light laughing noise and dipped his head before turning and heading away. About ten Lapras-sized spaces away, the wild Pokemon stopped and turned, a glint in his eyes. Shanae’s eyes widened.
