Name: Vitor Ryl Species: Grineer Faction: Steel Meridian Appearance: Vitor has the signature Grineer mechanical legs. Neither of them match each other either. One is an inverted leg with a clawed foot like most Grineer have. The other one resembles a normal human leg with a plated boot style foot. Thankfully he was able to acquire properly functioning set of arms that actually match one another. Vitor's armor seems pretty standard for Grineer soldiers aside from the fact that it is heavier and he has had an upgrade installed to increase his personal life support and provide a shield much like the Corpus weasels use. His bulky hunched armor is colored bright red so that everyone can see it. There's a few splashes of white thrown in there so his compatriots of the Steel Meridian don't mistake him for a hostile in combat of course. Vitor's head is whole and for a Grineer he's actually considered pretty handsome. Of course anyone who's seen Grineer up close knows they are pretty repugnant so that doesn't go that far. Armor: Vitor is armored with an upgraded version of standard Grineer soldiers' rigging. Being mostly mechanical himself he has learned to fiddle with things in order to keep himself and his allies alive. He's stolen standard Corpus tech to upgrade his armor with shields and keep him the center of attention in combat. Hell he even had the audacity to install a detonite injector device in his left forearm to operate as a flamer device. The armor mods grant him a few indispensable skills and tech that let him get ahead of his enemies; Overcharge: Vitor overcharges his custom shield for a few seconds allowing him to do abnormal feats of fortitude or just activate it and slam into something as hard as he can. Ignis: Vitor uses the flamethrower device in his left forearm. It's a flamethrower. It burns. A lot. More time and more tech means more mods, that's all he has right now. Starting Weapons: Hek: A Grineer shotgun sporting a four round capacity and a lot of firepower in those four shots. It's Vitor's favorite weapon and he'd always swear by it as one of the best things the Grineer have to offer. Gorgon: A Grineer-engineered light machine gun. Why carry a sidearm when you could have another big gun? It's not like Vitor is jumping off walls or something. Furax: Used by some Grineer ground-fodder this is nonetheless a lot of power packed into a small item. The Furax is a powered fist weapon that amplifies kinetic force. Vitor uses this if the enemy forces him into a pinch but generally just prefer blasting them point-blank with his shotgun. It's safer that way. Plasma Grenades: A revolution doesn't run on bullets alone, it needs a little more bang. Most lancer troops in the Grineer army have these so it's not trouble to find more. Background: Grineer are tube-born. They're clones. Vitor is no different in his genes than most other cannon-fodder on a Grineer frontline. He did however make a choice. When the Steel Meridian rebelled against their own he joined them. They saw the corruption, the evil in figures like Vay Hek. Vitor agreed. There isn't much to talk about from that time. Without mechanical help Grineer don't live very long. The gene sickness has seen to that. Before Steel Meridian, he was a grunt, a nameless statistic from a tube to be thrown at enemies. Then he became an enforcer. A feared opponent. He had skills and finally stood out. The kind of recognition he received though wasn't one of honor. Leadership in the Grineer had him sent to a front on Europa. There he was to clear out derelicts of infestation so they could be salvaged. An impossible task. Vitor's solution was to blow them all to hell, of course that would be against orders. On several near-suicide missions he entered the different derelicts and prepped them each for core meltdown so they could cleanse themselves. It was during this time that he adopted his use of a shield and flamethrower. Touching the infested was as dangerous as breathing in the vacuum of space. Superiors didn't appreciate his sense of self-preservation and imprisoned him. That's where the Meridian comes in. They got him out, now he's their enforcer and things have never been better. Notes: -Though the Steel Meridian are allies of the Tenno that doesn't mean Vitor has to like them. He had some issues with their dealing of Tyl Regor. Offing him because he was on the verge of curing his race just to keep the Grineer weak was cruel and something he can't forgive.
