Theoretically, dojutsu are not kekkei genkai per definition. Canonically, yes they are. And because of that, if they exist as non-kekkei genkai they are [i]almost certainly[/i] hiden techniques. But if you want to do the compound eye thing, then that's 100% certainly a kekkei genkai, even if it is limited to 1 person and not a clan.

Eye kekkei genkai are cliché though I will agree. :lol
