Personality: Formerly, a strong student with life goals, and expectations, Maria has taken on a severe case of Stockholm Syndrome. This is due to a severe connection to Deacon Roberts, for the past six years, Deacon’s mixture of Abuse, and love have ultimately warped her personality. She has taken on a rather sadistic streak, with a strong notion of greed, and a seeming lack of conscience. This is of course exempt when it comes to dealing with Deacon, feeling terrible when she angers, or upsets him, and being completely submissive to his whims, and considering everything he does to be right even when it is negatively affecting her, or her family’s health. ‘

History: Born into a rather poverty stricken area of Baton Rouge, Maria overcame these setbacks regardless, and excelled rather well in school. That all changed after she turned sixteen, and the Gang violence in her neighborhood became more pronounced. Her brothers were both gang members. Christian ended up murdered at a Sonic during a driveby, which hurt her heart, and lead her to spending more time with her brother Rafael, and as a side effect the gang itself. She started to get more involved, and when Deacon came around and took over the Blue Street gang. That’s when things went really downhill. Deacon became almost immediately infatuated with Maria, and began to keep her to himself, which aggravated Rafael to no end. He got her to delve deeper and deeper into the gang life. Carrying drugs for him, setting up muggings by acting as a victim. He had her tattooed, and marked for his own pleasures to truly bind her physically to him. Maria found herself standing over a dead man one night, a knife in her hand she had killed for Deacon, and she had felt no remorse about it….

Personality: Psychotic is the best word to describe Deacon Roberts, he's a sadistic man with a small gang following. He's a man without a conscience who is solely committed to his own success and goals. He's deeply in love with Maria, the romance often manifesting in bouts of physical violence against her or others for perceived slights which a normal person wouldn't acknowledge let alone punish. He shows extreme jealousy when another man so much as talks to her, she's his woman that he's twisted and turned into his submissive lover. Deacon is very prone to violence and has no qualms with killing those in his way, or doing worse to them. He can turn on a dime from a calm, almost charismatic man to a monster fueled by rage and determination.

History: Deacon was born into a broken family in a poor part of northern Louisiana, an only child. His father was an alcoholic, his mother a heroin addict. They both constantly got into arguments which often escalated into physical violence. As Deacon got older he was on the receiving end of beatings by both parents. As a child he was a troublemaker with poor grades in school. He got involved with the wrong people early on, selling drugs in his teenage years. He dropped out of high school at sixteen, making a better living off drugs than any other way.

Deacon's father ended up in prison after badly beating his wife. Around that time Deacon had left his parent's home, living in a cheap apartment on Blue Street. Then he met Maria and was instantly smitten with her, his love a near obsession. To him, no other man could touch her, even look at her the wrong way. He had gotten him into the Blue Street gang shortly after meeting her, he ended up taking a larger role within the group. He seized control of the small gang with Maria at his side, having turned her into someone as twisted as himself. He's now set his sights on growing his criminal empire.
