Today, she has decided that she can do anything.

She'll fail. There will be a moment, a single instant, where she doubts herself. In that moment, she will be defeated. Whether she will survive or not depends on what you say next.

We shall see. She has chosen either perfection or death, and we shall see which occurs.

*Laughs a little. *
Actually, i would say she has chosen massive improvement or death. There is no such thing as perfect, because if there were, many people, heros, and villains would have died once they hit perfection, and no one would have been able to move past that same point.

There are different qualifications for perfection. In her eyes, there is no longer improvement to be made because there is no longer time to improve. Perfect is escaping this battle alive, well, and with all friends unscathed. We shall see.

*I've begun to tense, my eyes and ears perked for stimuli, apparently primed for some uncertain action*

I understand this is well outside propriety, but you're all rather blasé about what seems to me to be a rather important issue. If I had the opportunity to help my sibling against someone both maniacal and twisted, I don't think I would waste the opportunity. In fact, I'm somewhat certain at least one of them is trying to actively kill us here: I'm beginning to think I should get involved in all this myself, if only to try and avoid the predicted fatality.

*I ask the newcomer, turning my body from Data to address Drake.*

Hymn of Predestination, charmed. I'm sure I'm missing something here, can you fill me in?

Perspective affects so many issues.

If you attempt to alter the outcome in any way, I am afraid I will have to personally escort you away from here. Assisting would ascertain defeat significantly more than waiting.

Right now, all we can do is watch without seriously negatively impacting the results.

I have to agree with data here. In a fight on this scale, messing with either party without the consent and cooperation of the one trying to keep us alive would most likely end up dooming us to the fate you are trying to avoid.

There is an equilibrium that would be tipped in a direction if interfered with. In addition, the personalities of the fighters make it impossible to challenge the current way it is proceeding.

I, of course, yield to the more experienced parties here.

*Sarcasm slips into my voice, a jocular, irreverent tone.*

Though, it does raise the question: if cooperating with our guardian would lead to defeat, cooperating with the one trying to kill us might save us, no?

Kirina is not interested in cooperation.

*sarcasm becomes noticeable in my voice as well, though it's gone by the second sentence.*

As yes, that would work, in fact you might be able to sit down with her and have a cup of tea afterwords. But sadly she would still be interested in killing us all once that was done, from what little I've seen.

An evil creature formed from the power collected in the souls of a million evil beings. I have little more information.

*I laugh, but take careful note of the explanation, attention rapt around the room.*

I'm surprised you were reluctant to define art, but use words like 'evil' and 'soul'. I never would have guessed that joules per second could carry moral thinking. Regardless, I assume that our definitions are similar for the former, at least: she sounds like someone who would be better off not existing.

Mhm. Evil is a significantly less abstract concept than art. It at least may be consistently objectively defined, even if definitions may differ. Souls are also quite material.

@Legend

Art can also be consistently objectively defined, even if definitions differ. I could define art as 'something which the creator intended to convey meaning through methods besides language', or 'objects which evoke emotions which would be identified by the one experiencing it as 'awe' or 'admiration' or 'melancholy'.'. Art could also be prescriptive: 'Art is the result of dancing, singing, painting or sculpting, and nothing else'.

None of these definitions are any more or less subjective than 'evil is performing an unwanted action on an unwilling participant' or 'evil is the termination of a living organism for whatever reason' or 'evil is the character of actions which reduce the overall utility of Creation.'.

Of course, this is all assuming that we mean the same thing when we say 'objective' or 'subjective' an assumption which I am sure, just like with the words art or evil, is incorrect. I am sure, of course, that you have a very useful definition for the words 'soul' and 'evil', that goes without saying. It might be more fruitful to ask, "What has she done after her inception, to evidence the assertion that she's evil. And why is she trying to kill you all?"
