Ryteb used the power of air to fly back, into the hole where V2 had made his exit previously exited the room, making sure to get as much room between him and the sword guy as possible. Although he had been trained in some physical combat by Odin, and by the weeks trying to survive in the Llychbaen Woods, he was more suited to tackling brutish animals rather than trained mercenaries. Especially ones with unknown qualities. Which was why he decided to target the girl instead, as at least he had some idea of her powers. Though the extent of her menagerie was another unknown factor, which could lead to a pretty bad situation if it came down to a war of attrition.

All the while Ryteb had been launching the spears though, he had been releasing more of the ice particles to make the room similar in condition to the centre of a thundercloud. Sparks were created of their own accord by the ferocious crashing of ice on the microscopic scale. Ryteb looked over at the mercenaries, and gave a mischievous wink. With a subtle shift of his blade, a Faraday Cage was formed around Mai, insulating her from the coming attack.

"You know, I hate to repeat a trick multiple times." Ryteb smirked, raising his gloved hand ready to make a click, "But it seems you guys need a bit of... en-lightning about the power of magicians."

Inside his head he thought; 'This is going to hurt an imperial fuckton.' As he clicked his fingers. An emerald spark emerged from his hand, exploding into a solid sheet of plasma that spread across the entire room. A deafening boom could be heard all over as Ryteb used the power of the water and air to create a lightning strike. Everything in the room was blasted by the powerful electic field, save for Mai who was in an area that seemed to push away the electricity, but the raw heat of the strike permeated through. The young mage himself was blasted out of the hole he was standing in, the front half of his body scorched by the blast. His breathing laboured, he managed to get out; "Yeah... that hurt..." Before passing out from the pain. Hopefully he had taken care of the bad guys.
