[i]The nature of this RP means that any leads I give you may be investigated at will, alone or with a partner. Those who are in David's apartment building, feel free to explore the building, interview anyone you want(you may create minor NPCs, but do PM me any ideas you feel should have the GM's seal of approval), search anywhere you feel to be suspicious, etc. 

Anyone can be interviewed, building's security guards, custodians, the night manager, office workers, the State Police in the lobby and outside (with an opening interrogation roll with a -6 penalty due to apprehension, provided you don't have a badge to flash)

Also Detective Albright. (Det. Albright can only be questioned with an interrogation roll at a -8 penalty. If you pass, interrogation rolls must be made with each round of questions, compounding -2 penalty on each round for her getting annoyed at being interviewed.)

Searching areas obviously requires an awareness roll. Successful awareness rolls inside the lobby make the character aware that the officers get tense at their arrival, with some seeming to glare at the team's presence. For Peik, Dan must make an awareness check inside David's apartment.

On a successful awareness check- total of 10-20, with corresponding modifier if applicable- the following can be found.

Living Room - No signs of a struggle. Inside a computer are an array of manuscripts, some are copies of the plethora of paper manuscripts found in a heap of boxes in one corner. You notice that the manuscripts all deal with Santa Muerte, as well as demons one might recognize as being from the Ars Goetia. There are empty and half-finished bottles of alcohol everywhere and the smell of cigarette smoke is heavy on the nostrils. An ashtray is overflowing with cigarettes. Internet search history yields the usual- porn and the like. There are searches for Mexican folk magic, demonology and astrology. Documentaries and books have been torrented, a lot of them deal with subjects related to the occult, ancient civilizations and religions, as well as books on government experiments and the like.

On a bookshelf are history books about the 13 colonies, the Nazi SS and their occult experiments, Argentina and their Rat Lines of WWII, the Salem Witch Trials, a book on the life and work of John Dee and two bibles- King James, the other Satanic. History books on the Knights Templar and Freemasons, as well as other secret societies.

Kitchen - Dishes are still in the sink, clean ones are still sitting in the dishwasher. His calendar has only one upcoming event for the upcoming 6th of July, coffee with Thomas Grant. Digging through his trash yields bottles of beer and stronger spirits. Receipts are from the obvious liquor stores. If anyone looks, the few receipts kept around that are not lists of alcohol are dated as far back as six months ago. Refrigerator is mostly empty. Freezer has frozen processed food in it.

Bedroom - Dirty clothes line the floor, the bed and are falling out of the hamper. There are more clothes in the hamper than there are in his dresser or closet. Under the bed can be found an aluminum baseball bat and a shoebox full of drug paraphernalia. A glass marijuana pipe, a pill bottle with a prescription written for him that once held 5mg percocets but now holds two large nuggets of marijuana. There are also a few baggies of what looks to be plant material but does not have the same smell as marijuana, synthetic cannabinoids found in 'somking blends' sold in head shops are suspected. The amount in the bag is trace, evidence that it was finished off. Receipts can also be found that are from Melinda's Spiritual Emporium. Players can take the baggy of plant material to Melinda to see if she can identify it, or at least get some more information on David's activities.[/Hider][/i]
