"Daichi? If he becomes a problem, tell him I'll burn down his dorm garden. I understand it sounds strange, but'll work", he responded. Sadly, this was another immoral string to pull, but it was a necessary one nonetheless. Aki pulled the hostage over his shoulder a little better, before another voice caught his attention
Aki's heavy breathing came back to him as he prepared to roof jump, until the familiar, cocky voice of Ken interrupted his train of thought. "That was sick what you did", the flying boy yelled as he landed on the roof. The bookworm did not know if this was a compliment or a threat and, frankly, was too surprised to care. Soon enough, though, Ken continued with, "Now is the real deal, beat me here and you can go and take the hostage back. Mano A Mano", before conjuring another black hole in his hand. Out of nowhere this jerk was showing some chivalry, and Aki was extremely pleased because of this. Running now, even if it were to secure the hostage, would be a dishonorable way to decline a dual. Placing the hostage down on the steps to the roof and turning back to Ken, Aki responded with, "Alright, I'll fight you on those terms. No one takes the hostage until we're through though, ok?", before adding in a whisper "Glad he's learned his manners". Aki spoke the countdown, both opponents squaring up until, at the count of "3!", they charged at their counterpart. Aki ran in jerky left-and-right movements towards Ken, making sure to have his steps be as randomized and untrakeable as possible. One good hit more and the boy's only protection would surely be downed, so he had to make sure that whatever Ken dealt out he could take. Thus, another plan erupted in the bookworm's psyche. He slammed his body into Ken's, making sure to position his legs where Ken's were and keep his chest on his. Then, as the crackling of the plain boy's barrier loudened, Aki quickly grabbed the black hole Ken had brandished before, bringing his fingers to tighten around the back of both of his opponent's hands. The glowing neon mandables of Aki would cover any explosion Ken produced from his orb, an offensive that, though it could destroy the bookworm's barrier for good, could also eviscerate Ken's hands even more effectively. Aswell, covering such horrible damage with a smaller part of his barrier (his palms) helped Aki make sure that, hopefully, his barrier would not take up more energy than he had. Otherwise, the rest of his body contact followed the same formula: minimize the amount of barrier threatened. His legs were the only target for Ken's kicking since he was right-up against him, and, otherwise, the tall boy's arms were trapped in Aki's absolute grip: unable to punch. What was ultimately interesting was that, due to Aki's height compared to Ken's, the plain boy's forehead came right up to his counterpart's neck. The bookworm took this into factor for his plan, and, almost out of the blue, slung his head back to headbutt the soft flesh of Ken's throat. Aki's forehead was another, smaller part of his barrier. Thus, he would expend minimal energy slamming it into Ken.
