Well, basically, the RP is set in 2016, the US Government (under a white, male, President) is the enemy, and 'changing the world to be less crapsack' is part of the premise. An open invitation for people of both sides of the political spectrum to hijack the thread to make their own ideological wet dreams come true.

Then again, I can just move the date back to 2012, before the most divisive political issues come to play...
