And generally that is what happens, since feeding is a very intimate thing, but it's not a hard and fast rule. Human blood will not help during a transition, it MUST be vampire blood of the opposite sex, which is why a lot of young vampires die during transition if someone cannot be found that is willing. Families normally set up partners for their children ahead of time. If romance sparks, good. If not, that's fine too.
