[@XxLyraxX] Depends on where your character is when you start the story. For example, mine has already transitioned so she will be meeting her mate (whoever that turns out to be) as a vampire already.
If you want to introduce your character as pre-transition and have her meet her mate beforehand then have him help her through the transition that is perfectly fine.
