Sure, she'd left out the whole "I stole a bunch of jewelry from my parents and then fled the Region" thing, but she wasn't quite sure if that was something you just went around telling people. Not that she thought he'd turn her in to the police or something, but moreso that she felt like it'd bring the mood crashing down harder than an Aerodactyl using Sky Drop on it. Another time, maybe. Roxy listened intently as he answered her question, realizing that she could honestly relate a bit to how he felt. But hey, they were both here now, right? No sense in clinging onto the past; the present is way more fun. But now, Roxy wondered, just what was Aiden doing out here? And where on earth did he learn to cook? The food smelled so good she could almost taste it even from here. She followed Novis back, skipping alongside him as she did so. As the pair headed back to Aiden, Roxy called for Aela and Lucina to follow her. They'd managed to gather a few berries themselves, with Lucina holding them all in her scarf. The Riolu gingerly handed the green scarf to Roxy, who put the berries in her bag and gave them back. She now had an assortment of berries to her name, though she picked out a few Oran Berries intended for Lucina. As the pair reached Aiden, she went ahead and handed her bag to him just after Novis did. "We don't know too much about herbs and berries, so...hope you can whip something up!" Aiden seemed confident, telling them that their food would be done in just a few minutes. With that matter settled, Roxy sat back down at a table, with her Pokemon jumping up next to her. "Come here, Lucina. I've got Oran Berries for you, too," she said, holding her hand out. Lucina eagerly took the Oran Berries and wolfed them down, the damage she sustained earlier almost seeming to have never happened. "And done!" Roxy nearly jumped up out of her seat as Aiden brought over their food, smelling even better after he'd added in the berries and herbs they'd brought. Lucina and Aela were practically drooling over the smell, in fact. As for Roxy, she immediately took a bite, eager to taste the food Aiden had made. But as soon as the food hit her tongue, Roxy appeared to lose all the color in her face. Tears pricked at her eyes from the incredibly sour taste, and her arms suddenly felt like jelly. She couldn't even place the taste of it; it was all at once sour, salty, and extremely bitter. There was also an unbearable sweetness in some parts, as though trying to compensate for the harshness of the flavor...and only worsening it. Roxy looked at Aiden, with his eager expression, seeming to really want her to like it. She couldn't just hurt his feelings like that, right? So, Roxy steeled herself and swallowed the food with a semi-weak smile. "It's, um...r-really good, Aiden! Really, it's just...great," she managed, though she then realized that he'd expect her to eat more. Roxy looked at Novis with a desperate expression, imploring him to help her somehow.
