[@Lyla] I can get where you concerns are coming from and most of the vagueness comes from the fact that I was super burnt out by the time I got to the magic. I'll add the specifics like if he uses too much magic too fast he'll explode and how the way he vents off built up heat actually hurts him. Chaos magic is... well chaotic. You could throw out a bolt of lightning that mutates someone into a gibbering mass of flesh and teeth, or release a wave of yellow flames that makes enemies turn on each other like wild dogs. Let alone the ability to summon/commune with daemons. However I don't plan on using it all that much, it is [i]The[/i] trump card in Balthazar's arsenal because it is a wholly evil and cruel magic. The possibilities are endlessly horrific. Plus there is always that chance where everytime he throws out a chaos spell he might be possessed by Daemons. Besides, I know the rule of good storytelling. Magic can't solve all your problems, if it's the be all end all... well that's a pretty shitty story. I know my place.
