Ella shook her head, staring in shock at the scene before her. [color=hotpink]"I-I don't think they do, but..."[/color] An idea came to her. [color=hotpink]"Brighteye, use Confuse Ray!"[/color]

The orb of light behind Brighteye's mask turned purple, and she fired a ghostly beam at the Malamar. Shadowy images drifted around it. The Malamar tried to lash at them, only to whip itself with one of its tendrils.

[color=hotpink]"It's working!"[/color] Ella called to Leisy. [color=hotpink]"Now get one of your Pokemon to move in!"[/color]

Before that could happen, the images faded. Shaking off the confusion, the Malamar shot forward a ray of black and purple that knocked the Duskull from the air.

[color=hotpink]"Ah! Brighteye!"[/color] Ella shouted, grasping the Pokeball and returning the fainted Duskull. Of course... Ghost types usually had an advantage against Psychic types, but not against Dark types. Ella's mind raced. She still had two Pokemon who could fight. Pitting Poison types against such a strong Psychic type, though, could only end in disaster.

[color=hotpink]"It's no good!"[/color] she yelled, stumbling back to dodge another Night Slash. Watching out for the Malamar's attacks was no easy task when she had to avoid looking at its hypnotic lights. [color=hotpink]"We have to get away!"[/color]
