[@Ammokkx] Depends on the kind of assault pack. The thrusters on mine, in particular, are there because traditional forms of movement don't work as well in space, not to mention they're to be used to balance against recoil from the bigger weapons onboard. (Predator Cannon, I'm looking at you). 

That being said, if you'd feel more comfortable with me lightening the load on the assault pack, I'd be happy to do so.
