Several dozen guinea pigs charged down the cul-de-sac, squealing angrily. Before them fled a Pomeranian, the fluffy dog yipping in a panic as it tried to find a route to safety. The pigs surrounded it, gnashing their teeth and twitching. The dog spun around, looking for an exit. A rodent was killed as it smacked into the dog's face with as much energy as that of a major league fastball, knocking the Pomeranian senseless. The pigs surged over the dog's body, celebrating their victory with a chorus of squeaks and jumping up and down.

Nillie’s heels clacked onto the pavement as the shimmering rift in space behind her dissipated into thin air. The young woman quickly went to work surveying her new situation, which appeared to be a suburban neighborhood. Although normally stereotyped as being peaceful, she got recent reports of there being chaos spreading around these parts, so was tasked with finding whatever “chaos” there was and putting an end to it before the situation escalated any further. She stood out like a sore thumb as she strolled purposefully down the street in her fancy black dress. She was the most powerful individual around these parts, and not only that but was the fastest to arrive at the scene thanks to her powers. Theoretically she was far more powerful than whatever the troublemaker was, so she should be able to handle this herself rather than have to wait for reinforcements and risk massive civilian casualties.

The residents were all holed up in their houses. She could see some of them peeking out at her from their blinds. It was good that they all managed to get to safety from…whatever it was that was threatening them. She waved and flashed a reassuring smile at a group of children huddled together quivering at the windowsill.

At first she didn’t see what could have caused all of this. The only out of place thing she could see right now was…how adorable! She spotted a bunch of guinea pigs rushing in front of her along with a cute little barking dog. Due to the small size of the animals she couldn’t hear the squealing anger that they produced from this distance. All she could hear of that was what sounded like cute, adorable chirping. She had a goofy grin on her face before she remembered the dangerous situation that they were in.

“Crap! I better get those animals safely in doors or something! Where’s the owner?!” She thought to herself, whipping her head and long blond hair back and forth to see if she could spot anyone who these animals might belong to, but to no avail. She could have easily ended the guinea pig threat at the moment they passed in front of her had she known their true nature. Unfortunately, she only realized what was going on when they wounded the poor dog and had him cornered.

“What the-?!” She exclaimed, taken completely aback by this revelation.

She didn’t like the idea of harming cute things, but she also didn’t want to watch the dog get devoured either. She had to do something! She shoved her arms forward, causing reality to ripple and then tear into a sparkling energy that burst forward to meet the crowd of guinea pigs. She controlled the rift so that it would split on both sides of the dog, leaving it unharmed while hopefully obliterating all the surrounding pigs. However, she risked some of them surviving if they were too close to the dog for her to hit without also hitting it. However, she believed that this attack could possibly cause the surviving guinea pigs to stall or possibly retreat and leave the dog alone, where she could later capture them.

Only seven pigs survived, and they immediately started scampering off in opposite directions away from Nillie. Of course, they could only run at a waddling 2.7 miles per hour.

But still...

GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL.

Nillie couldn’t bring herself to finish them off. How could she? It appeared like she had rescued the dog as the threat was now reduced to a pathetic waddling in retreat. If this was the chaotic threat that was reported then it left a lot to be desired. She was really powerful after all, anyways, so perhaps it couldn’t be helped sometimes.

Ignoring the survivors she began to walk over to the dog.

“It’s okay little guy, I’m here for you,” she said as she approached, reaching out a hand to it.

A pig cut through the air like a fuzzy guided missile set to strike Nillie in the kidneys as she checked the dog. Suddenly the number of pigs had increased to thirteen (minus the dead one that had assumedly struck her), and they were careening far and wide through the air above the cul-de-sac, no longer grouped together. Squeaks rose and fell as they sped about like little Supermans!

Nillie barely had time to react to the incoming threat, strengthening her defensive barrier ever so slightly in the time that she had available.

“Yeawch! That was my favorite kidney!” She snarled in pain as the guinea pig slammed directly into her abdomen, causing her rift barrier to flicker and cave in against her body in blunt force trauma. Even without the barrier she didn’t expect it to have been capable of lethal damage, but it was a sharp and unexpected pain none the less. She turned her attention from the dog to the now flying guinea pigs, her jaw dropping. Not only were they flying around, but she was pretty sure that there were at least double the amount that there had been just moment ago. Where did these reinforcements come from so suddenly? Out of the woodwork?

“When pigs fly,” she said in disbelief at the absurd sight playing out in front of her while extending back upwards into a standing position, stepping back away from the dog. She increased her barrier some more, now ready for this unexpected combat. She realized her mistake in not finishing them off while she had the chance. Curse them and how adorable they looked! Actually, even knowing their power she still didn’t enjoy the aspect of killing them.

She began to formulate a plan, if they allowed her such time. Her magic was powerful but inefficient for taking on spread out foes of that size and speed. It would take multiple blasts to overkill each individual guinea pig. She did have the energy for at least twelve shots, but this wasn’t ideal. She surveyed them to see if an opportunity presented itself to her.

By the time she had said "When pigs...", the rodents would have doubled again. It was like high speed mitosis, each pig suddenly dividing into two of the same mass as the original, defiling the law of conservation of matter. One of them shot out of the blue and towards Nillie's face, whistling shrilly! In the next second if that one survived, then there'd be fifty-six pigs whizzing around.

How dare the pigs interrupt a hilarious pun! Not only that, but she soon found herself face first with the flying pig, causing her to make a loud, “blegh!” sound in the process as her head jerked backwards and she fell onto her rear end, her defensive rift barrier flickering yet again. She felt like a sitting duck. The space underneath her feet began to shimmer and she took off backwards into the air as fast as she could to make herself a harder target. While doing this she didn’t have time to prepare an attack of her own yet, only having time to analyze the fact that they were somehow able to rapidly clone themselves.

She would attempt to fire off a blast of rift energy outwards to the largest grouping she could spot in retaliation.

As Nillie did her analyzing, she'd see the pigs double again so that 110 of the buggers were zipping around like a swarm of fuzzy, squeaking bees. Nillie succeeded in hitting a swath of pigs that had been sweeping through the sky in a V formation twenty strong. As they died, it seemed to enrage many of the remaining pigs!

fifteen of the rodents shot out towards Nillie, seven of them on her left, seven pincering in from the right, and one rocketing forth head on for Nillie's torso.
If a second had passed between Nillie's assault on the V formation and her reaction to the pig pincer, then before impact the Uniformity would double again, and suddenly she'd be on the verge of encountering a quadruple claw barrage! seven pigs aiming for each leg, seven coming in at either flank, and two charging towards her face and solar plexus, respectively.

By now the area would be drowned in squeaks, whistles, chirps, and burbles. Pigs were going down chimneys, bumping into each other in air and on ground, tumbling off of trees, peeking out of rain gutters, smashing through windows, and generally doing guinea pig things.
People were fleeing from their homes, screaming. One man had a docile pig on his head as he ran past, and tears of fear streaming down his cheeks.

It seemed that despite it all, the pigs didn't quite have a hive mind. Or perhaps they did, but it didn't last too long because of their short attention spans. It was probably possible to make them mad enough to all attack at once, but for the most part Nillie only had to worry about splinter groups. That, and the possibility of the pigs multiplying to such a degree that it'd become numerically impossible to deal with them all.

Nillie saw the pigs coming at her from either side so lunged forward, hopefully causing a 28 pig pile-up at the spot where she had been floating in just a moment before. However, she was unable to avoid the two coming at her from the front. She grimaced as they collided, causing more damage to her barrier than before thanks to adding her speed into the mix. However, she yet again managed to prevail, and with her increased mass was able to keep moving forward away from the impact zone. She held out both hands to send out even more of her rift energy to hopefully randomly demolish large swaths of them on either side of her. She had a hint of desperation in her attacks now, seeing the situation going south. She wanted to eliminate them all as soon as possible rather than conserve energy, as she felt like she couldn’t waste any time.

There were now 216 of the varmints, but their numbers were sliced as the first volley of Nillie's attack took out 61 of them. If they weren't so spread out, she might have been able to nail more. Then they doubled yet again, resulting in 330 pigs. A full hundred of them bum rushed Nillie from all angles, whistling and chirping with the need for revenge. It'd be like getting pelted by dozens of ball shooting machines at once! Their ballistic little furry bodies bounced off of whatever they hit before falling lifeless to the ground, some spiraling limply into the sky. It might have been darkly humorous had it not been so painful.

She couldn’t dodge all of them even with bursts of rift firing out of her hands at all angles to try and wipe them out before they could reach her. No matter what she did some of them always managed to get through and more were generated outside of her range to easily replace lost numbers. She knew the full extent of how desperately serious this situation was despite how absurd and, perhaps even adorable, the opponent. It felt like she was getting pelted by a hailstorm. Her barrier flickered more and more across her entire body, signaling she was almost at her limit. Plus she was beginning to pant as she was using up a ton of energy in her attempt to fend them off. She couldn’t keep this up.

She tried a new plan, zooming up as high as she could into the sky to try and see if she could go higher than their max altitude, whatever that might be for a rodent of their size and capabilities. Perhaps they couldn’t even reach her max speed of 100 miles per hour, she hoped, and if that was the case than she would be able to bank back down to a safer altitude and fly away from the carnage in order to rest up and warn the others.

The full armada of pigs, now 460 strong, flew after Nillie as several clouds. They'd be gaining on her despite her speed, and for every second she spent climbing, they'd double yet again.

However...

If Nillie went high enough, she might notice a few here and there dropping out of the sky due to oxygen deprivation. If she herself was able to keep going far enough, she'd be able to kill off mass amounts from the cold and lack of air. They were like lemmings, too dumb to know it was a trap.

She couldn’t help but think how clever she was when she saw the pigs dropping like flies. Her body’s surface area to volume ratio indeed allowed her to survive up here much more effectively, as was her hunch, although even she began to get very light headed once she attained a certain height, the exact extent of which she was unable to determine. She began to hyperventilate and could feel confusion setting in. With that her powers began to waver. Not good. Although more not good for the guinea pigs, all of which who followed her seemed to either be dead or near death, she had hit her limit and she dropped back down at near freefall speed.

To the panicked townsfolk below, it was now raining a mass amount of pigs like a hailstorm. Thanks to how long Nillie had managed to stay up there, there was more than likely thousands upon thousands of the little guys making this the most morbid of hailstorms in all of existence. The young woman broke the cloud cover next, her senses returning as her lungs filled once again with the oxygen that she so desperately needed. She made an attempt to stabilize herself with her magic and scan her surroundings to see if there were any survivors. She was panting heavily, her magic quivering. She knew that the game was almost up so was hoping that she had managed to end them all with that last gambit. If not she feared she would be soon suffering the most adorable death ever.

There was one survivor. The pig of progeny. It shot out of the blue, a squeaking nemesis! It intended to slap heartily into Nillie's face and begin scrabbling with its claws, seeking to rake at her skin as it wheedled out a fierce series of squeaks!

Under normal circumstance Nillie could have decimated the horrible yet adorable pig, but now it had become a brutal struggle of life and death. She was too exhausted from her constant defense and near death at high altitude that she was unable to use any more of her magic whether for a barrier or for attacking. It was the best she could do to simply control her descent to touch back down to earth without killing herself from the drop. While the two fought she free fell the remaining twenty feet or so, flat on her back into a pile of dead pigs that cushioned the impact.

It’s tiny claws managed to draw blood on her face although so far wasn’t able to cause any serious injury. She made efforts with both hands to grab onto the little critter.

Dead pig bodies flew into the air as debris when Nillie landed, a few still pelting the hairy mat afterwards as she succeeded in grabbing a pig. But if and when she pulled it away, she'd see that it wasn't the one that had hit her in the face. The Pig of Progeny would have undergone a mitotic split right before it was grabbed, materializing out from a differently-colored clone as it darted backwards with the intent of scurrying into Nillie's shirt!

If it succeeded it'd begin burrowing around in her clothes, making bubbly little chutting noises all the while. Meanwhile, the Guinea in Nillie's hands would begin wheeking madly as it flew into a vicious DOOM SPASM. It twitched and jerked with lunatic violence, aided by the powerful supernatural propulsion that allowed it to accelerate to 120 mph. It's claws and buck teeth gnashed and slashed at Nillie's hands in a bid to make her let go so that it could unleash a furry fury upon her face!

As Nillie was victorious in squeezing down onto the troublesome pig, she all of a sudden got a tickling sensation running along her torso. She looked down in surprise to see a bump in her clothing bobbing rapidly around. A guinea pig sized bump. She tried to play whack-a-mole with her two hands still gripping onto the struggling guinea pig, although the one underneath her clothing luckily or skillfully managed to avoid the first two strikes thanks to it’s constant, rapid movement and the struggling throwing off her aiming skills. She attempted a new strategy by flipping over onto her stomach to crush it between her body and the ground.

While she did this, the one in her hands gave a nasty bite on her right thumb. She hated to do this even now; closing her eyes she twisted her two hands forcefully in different directions upon it’s neck. A human being, even of her weak disposition now that she was without her powers, could likely break such a small mammal’s neck.

Nillie succeeded in breaking the pig's neck, and as she lay on her belly, she'd be able to hear the muffled, dying squeaks of the Pig of Progeny as it was slowly smothering under her, many of its little bones broken.

Nillie might then notice a little girl standing several feet away, ankle deep in dead rodents. She stared traumatized at Nillie, a single tear running down her cheek. She had witnessed the murder of countless fuzzy pets.

Nillie couldn’t say that she’d ever smothered a rodent to death underneath her bodyweight before, but perhaps there was a first time for everything, not matter how insane it might sound. Insane and just a tad bit horrific. Now that the adrenaline was beginning to wear off she gained a disgusted expression on her face, tossing the mangled rodent aside as she stood, the second dead one falling to the ground between her feet now that she had released the pressure on it. She could feel it slither limply all the way down the inside of her clothing. She shivered.

And that’s when she made eye contact with the little girl. Neither diverted their eyes, the girl staring deep into Nillie’s soul unceasingly and without mercy. Nillie shivered again, this time even worse than before. She shifted nervously on her feet, only to hear the crunching of little bones. The little girl definitely heard. Oh dear.

“U-umm…” she nervously said out loud, scratching the back of her head. “T-t-that’s all folks!” She quoted, equating the guinea pigs to porky pig in her mind. It was a lame joke but she needed to blurt out anything she could think of to ease the tension. "...I'll see myself out," she continued, trudging back out the way she had arrived.
