What incredibly vast sword skills? Close combat fighting skills will, as always, be limited to what the writer himself (me in this case) is able to push out. Anything else is just fluff. He knows how to fight, 'tis what I'm getting at. 

He's also not fast enough to dodge bullets, but if you read it that way, I'll just delete the phrase to avoid confusion :)
