T'vor nodded once. "Under the circumstances, I understand. Come. I know where he is." He led Azurael through the forest of tents, to the eastern side of the camp.
"He's in a bit of an unusual mood--though not, I would say, necessarily a bad one. Just unusual. I haven't seen him this contemplative in years--He's usually a quick thinker. Today, it seems, he has much on his mind. I'm not really sure what, though. I know him very well--which not many people can say about him. But he's a very private man. He rarely takes council with anyone. All this to say, choose your words carefully. I'd rather not burden him with yet more worry than he might be going through right now."
T'vor's concern for his friend was clearly evident in his speech--perhaps the first time since landing that he'd openly shown a strong emotion other than irritation.

Sephiroth was standing alone, gazing up at the morning sun, shielding his eyes with one hand. He was quiet for some time after the two of them had approached him, but he finally spoke.
"This is the first time I've seen a sun rise."

"It is my first time too. Though we always saw the sun we never saw it rise." Azurael said

Mindful of T'vor's instruction Azurael chose her words as carefully as possible. "Your Majesty, the Angel kingdom is in danger. I may not be thier kin any more but I still share thier blood. I ask of you, to help me in my endeavour. We must remove the threat."

Once more, Sephiroth grew silent for a while before speaking.
"Your heart is in the right place, soldier--But I think 'removing' the threat is not in the best interests of the people. We have but to change it--heal it. Set it right. I know not the words to tell you my meaning. For the time being, I believe the princess must be asked to step aside...for me to take her place, if necessary."
He thought for a moment.
"I do not know of many kings who ruled two kingdoms. Frankly--the prospect terrifies me. But I was always told that the best rulers are the ones who fear the throne. It means they will respect it, and be less inclined to abuse the power they are given. I am mature enough to admit that I have my faults, and I don't trust myself with this responsibility should it come to it. I cannot do it alone. There is one man I trust--you stand beside him this moment. But I cannot ask him to take on the whole weight of assisting me in this prospect." He turned his head slightly to view her out of the corner of his eye.
"Can I trust you?"

"You can trust me and I will never betray that trust." Azurael said.

"I will help and assist in any manner I can." Azurael said. She would, she was steadfast in her loyalty and would shift heaven and earth were it possible for those she was loyal to, and if necessary she would lay down her own life.

"I think you will do great things Lord".

" But we must advance quickly, Sasha will be in her tent still, she never favoured rising early."
...............
Sasha was indeed in her tent. She was still only putting her footwear on ready to meander over to the mess tent, after she had dine her hair.

"I appreciate your faith in me, miss Windrider." Sephiroth nodded slowly. He turned to T'vor, who nodded back at him.
"Very well then." He turned and led the way back through the mass of tents to find the princess.
"Let me speak with her, General." He told his friend, then approached the tent.
"Princess, I would speak with you."

(Winchester for Azurael, Windrider for Sasha)
Sasha saw Sephiroth and behind him Azurael and T'vor. "What is it you want?" Sasha snapped, her toned conveying her dislike for mornings. "I am hungry and must go and fetch my own breakfast seeing as no one will do it for me." Sasha said, clearly in a petulant mood as well.

Azurael was looking steadily at her former ward. A fact Sasha did not miss.

"Quit staring at me like you want something. You are a Demon citizen are you not? The angels have nothing for you." Sasha said.

"Perhaps not but I must still keep watch." Azurael replied her voice steely. She worried too about Sasha being so unstable.

[Oops XD]

Sephiroth bit back a retort. He didn't come here to argue.
"Breakfast can wait awhile longer. I have come with the best interests of your people in mind, princess." He told her.
"I have come to replace you."
He felt that being direct with her was likely a better choice. Mostly because good decisions didn't seem to be her forte.
"Understand, I am not at all interested in your throne, but I feel that you are unfit for your duty to rule at this time. I believe that if I can step in your place, you can devote all of your attention to learning how best to rule your people."

Despite her previous insistence that Sephiroth take her place it appeared she was no longer so keen to give up her place. "No. You will not. I will not allow it." Sasha said firmly. "No one will, not while I still stand."

"That can be arranged" Azurael offered, lightning crackling around her and the clear sky suddenly becoming overcast. The display was short lived. "You will kill your people if you are not carefully."

"No I will not, you want my position for yourself don't you" Sasha growled.

"No. But you need to give it up."

"The angel guards are still loyal to me. They will stop you lot from usurping me. Guards!" Sasha said, the last word shouted.

Guards quickly surrounded her tent. Azurael however looked entirely unconcerned.

Sephiroth seemed unsurprised. "You continue to make poor choices. I suspected as much." From his belt, he drew a long, glinting blade. It had tasted blood before.

T'vor was at his side, lance in hand.

"This does not need to end in violence, princess. I know you realize you are unfit to rule. You were almost begging me just last night to do this." He reminded her. "You asked me for my aid. That is precisely what I am giving you this moment. I ask you to see reason, princess. This is the only way. Even the dragons agree. Do not let it come to this."

Azurael held up her hand and clenched her fist. The guards advanced and surrounded Sasha. "Not all Angels are loyal to you. I have charge of my own group."

Azurael let her fist fall. Two of the guards took hold of each of Sasha's arms. "I had hoped you would allow us a more diplomatic solution. You are far from fit to be a ruler but it is not your fault. What is your fault is your attitude. You may have cast me out and condemned me to death once but I still cared for you." Azurael said as the Guards led Sasha away. Sasha was kicking and screaming the whole way.

"My platoon had mixed in with the Angel guard on my instruction. I am glad to see that it worth it. Your weapons need not taste blood." Azurael said.

"I hope I served well." Azurael said looking at her ruler.

"I also know where the Relics if Office are should you be willing to accept them."

Sephiroth drew a long breath with closed eyes. After a moment, he nodded, and sheathed his sword. "I will do what I must. And this..was necessary. Was it not?"

"It was." T'vor replied, straightening. "Fear not--we are with you."

"The dragons, too. Hopefully, this was not a mistake."
"Soon, we shall see." T'vor replied. "Mistake or not, however, it is done. You cannot turn back now."
"Very well. Then let us proceed, Azurael."

"I will always stand at your side" Azurael said and she meant it.

"The relics are in my tent" Azurael said, leading the way to her accommodations. She had not told Sasha she possessed the Relics, even though Sasha had a right to claim them. It was just as well, Azurael thought to herself. Sephiroth was a far more suitable ruler and she was more than happy to pass on the Relics to him. She had no doubt that when Sasha came back and was actually ready to ascend to the throne then Sephiroth would pass them to Sasha.

"Then let us be on our way." Sephiroth replied, his face set in resolution. "A country cannot survive without a leader to guide them."
T'vor looked up. The sky seemed foreboding. He suspected it would rain.
"Good thing we have tents." He muttered to himself. "What will you do about the princess?"
"A fair question, my friend. One I haven't resolved yet."

Azurael looked up at the sky. She would not stop the rain, she liked rainy weather.

"Personally I think it would be best that the Princess does not stay in camp. Her mere presence could incite rebellion at best, a revolution at worst. We can not have a war on Terrain soil, not this early." Azurael said.

"I apologise if my opinion is unwarranted." Azurael said meekly.

Azurael lead the way to her tent and retrieved the Relics:
- A pair of scimtars with a gold hilt and a blade bright silver in colour, which seemed to glow with in inner light. The scabbards and belt were plain and black but finely worked.
- A pair of gauntlets made of the same luminous metal as the sword.
- A circlet made in a celtic type braid pattern, also out of the abovementioned metal.

The Relics were wrapped in a plain brown sack cloth type rag.

"The craft for the Relics was lost long ago and no trace of thier metal remained on Genisis, at least on the Angel side. Many searched, but alas."

"Possibly." Sephiroth replied, "don't be shy, if I didn't want your opinion, I wouldn't have asked you to assist me in the first place."

And then the Relics were retrieved.
"Hopefully, there will be no reason to use them." He commented. He seemed to muse for a moment.
"Why don't you keep holding onto them for now? You seem to have done a fair job of it for this whole time. I see no reason why you can't be trusted to continue to do so. Perhaps we shall make 'Keeper of the Relics' an official title to add to your name." He looked amused.

"I would be honoured." Azurael said, she looked a little put out. To which she soon explained. "It is tradition that the leader or ruler of the Angels take custody of the Relics. But I will look after them. "

Azurael replaced the Relics. She paused as she returned. "Do Demons have Relics like Angels do? What do they look like?" Azurael asked. She pictured something much the same but with either a firey or shadowed appearance.

Sephiroth nodded.
"We do. You have seen one of them already." He gestured to the long blade belted to his waist. "Ours are mostly symbolic, really. They are neither made with rare metals nor do they hold any magical or mystical powers of their own. The originals were destroyed long ago, and so several copies have been made since. So whatever value they posess is in what they represent. There is also a crown and a shield." He told the curious Azurael.

It was then that T'vor was pulled aside by one of his men.
"Sir, an Angel has arrived. He was on a scouting mission for several weeks before the evacuation, and is ready for a debriefing."

"Then go get him."

"Er, yessir." The man left in search of the scout, commonly known as Ma'ai.

Three months, a week, and four days later. Ma'ai was more than happy to be back among his kin, even though the price meant heavy demon presence everywhere. Finding the secluded rendezvous point was easy enough despite the efforts made to hide it (he was, after all, not human) and after being accosted by guards upon entry, was escorted to those he would be reporting to. The angel's reports were not severe enough to require immediate action but his news needed tending to nonetheless.

"Sir." Ma'ai bowed his head in respect to the demon introduced to him as General al'Talvor Highwind. He may still harbor instinctual abhorrence towards the demon race but Ma'ai wasn't stupid enough to allow any signs of his distress to display. "Ma'ai Thos Narkissos at your service." He raised his head. "May we speak in private?" In truth Ma'ai couldn't care less about who heard their conversation, but he asked anyways for the sake of formalities.

Azurael thanked Sephiroth, her curiosity sated. "I would love to see the others sometime, if possible."

"Narkissos. I think I have heard the name before. Perhaps mentioned by one of the Archangels. I was privvy to more information than my ward was, not that she cared much for it." Azurael said.

"I can take my leave if Narkissos wishes." Azurael said, referring to Ma'ai by his last name. Why was she referring to him in such a way? Not habit, she just liked the sound of his last name. "However, before I do leave, has he been made aware of the leadership change?" Azurael asked T'vor. She knew the news would have spread through the rest of camp by now, especially given Sasha had been dragged away kicking and screaming. Azurael felt a pang of guilt at that, she hating seeing her former ward suffer even though she knew Sasha had made her suffer and would have forced her to suffer worse.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Damien was busy playing with the dragons, he had somehow found them and all four dragons and Damien were currently engaged in a game of tug-of-war. Anuriel was cheering them on. The dragons had taken to calling Damien a new name - Ofansildov, it was thier way of acknowledging his role in transporting the eggs from thier home world to Earth and his gifting of them to thier Dovbormah, Sephiroth.
...................................................................................
Sasha was on the border of camp. While she had helped to raise the border she now found her way barred. She could not find the entrance nor would the camp reveal itself to her. Her magic had worked too well.

"If he hasn't been, he soon will be." T'vor folded his arms across his chest and turned to look at the new arrival.
"Well, white-wings, considering that you are now standing in the presence of your two new superiors and the Demon Prince," who was standing not far off with his hands clasped behind him and his head tilted slightly, "you can say whatever it is you might ever possibly need to say in front of everyone present. There's been a change of pace since our arrival. From now on, you report either to me, or to Stormy here. Neither of us are going to lift a finger for you, so it doesn't really matter either way. Speaking of which, we'll get right down to your report. I want it in my hand--or in Stormy's--by tomorrow morning. Now. What do you want?"

Sephiroth noted the peculiar absense of cussing and insults in his General's speech. T'vor must have slept the night before. It kind of amused him, or rather, it would be amusing to see how the Angel would react to a /typical/ T'vor.

While Anuriel was out, Chrissa generally looked after things in the kitchens, so she was quite busy taking orders and making sure everything was getting done in a timely order.
