Gershwin sighed, giving in to herself. "I admire you, really, for wanting to earn their trust, to show we are not like them. I just hope they're as compliant as you think. Not like me. I won't be going in there. Not when I'm capable of just as much destruction as they can. I will help with search and rescue, but absolutely stay away from the twins." There was a raging intensity in Gershwin's eyes and statement as she looked to Cody's affirmation. That same fire in her eyes showed fear - absolute terror - for what she was.
Cambodia had turned into something of a warzone. Not quite the wasteland of future sci-fi movies where hope is absent, but one of wanton destruction and despair is so thick it chokes you, makes your eyes watery, and people are desperate and horrified. Not nearly a day into what has happened, and nearly 50 years of development into the modern day Cambodia was almost literally flung away, terraformed into this ugly, misshapen bastion: A sight to behold, were it not for the streets being patrolled by Stone Soldiers, Golems, and other monstrosities so plentiful and myriad the purpose for such a size was making itself very clear. Why else would anyone need such a large number of monstrosities to control? If one needed an army.
