Hmm...well you are right though thinking through his point of view, I think it seems so much more like him to worry about protecting Avina. I mean he will point out that the only way he will trust her again is to fight, it's kinda the vampire way. If they don't fight and not kill each other, than they can't trust each other. That was why he relaxed after they fought the first time. But for now he would want to protect the only person he cares about.
