Finally, here's my CS. Decided not to really change her appearance and just make her part of a wandering tribe that wears their exotic clothing. She has an immensely long braided hair that reached to her knees, just adding to her exoticness. And her appearance wouldn't be complete without the beautiful smile that she always wears. Personality: She is a kind and motherly person, guiding the Pharaoh with her gentle wisdom. She gives off the impression of an older sister to everyone she met, even to the Pharaoh himself. She is mostly a quiet person, preferring to stay in the background instead of being the center attention. However, even thought she was quite a patient person, able to handle crying children with a calm smile, her sensitive point was if someone were to make a disturbance when she was playing her lute. She would give the culprit quite the glare. She was also quite shy about her voice, as she refused to take up singing like her mother did. She believed her voice wasn't up to par, though many disagreed considering how melodious it was when they talked to her. Biography: Born to the tribe of Q'ur, she always wandered around the many cities and villages of Egypt, as the tribe was a nomadic one. Her family was a band of performers, with her father playing the lute and her mother singing. She was taught in the ways of the lute ever since she was little as her father saw great potential in her, and thus made sure she would be able to bring it to her full potential. However, as she grew up, she began to take interest in matters other than her performance. She started to take interest in the state of Egypt, and how it was now fractured between many Pharaohs. Reading history and mythological books, she discovered how Egypt used to be one, and in time, she agreed that it would be best for it to be so once again. And here she learned about the goddess Hathor, where she decided to devote her worship to her. But nothing last forever, and one day, a plague claimed the lives of her father and mother. It would have killed her too, if not for Hator's intervention. And from that day on, she became a mage, as her lute-playing now gained power to affect the material realm as well. Now, she was currently staying in Thebes, as she played nightly in the biggest inn in the city, The Oasis. She was paid quite handsomely to do so, so she might stay there for quite some time.
Combat Information
Magician: Yes Deity: Hathor Equipment: She traveled with only a single backpack that she carried herself. Her trusty lute she carried with her on all times, slung to her body with a little string. The inside of the backpack consisted of her spare ethnic clothes (she pretty much only wore her ethnic clothes at all times), a thin white nightgown that had become quite flimsy and well-worn due to her having wore it for years, and then her undergarments. She also carried some soap with her as her travels often made her quite sweaty and not all inns provided one. A performer needed to be presentable after all. Ability:Playing lute, the knowledge to read hard books even though she had never be educated officially, [s]singing[/s] Spells/Techniques: 1. Good Night and Have A Beautiful Dream Everyone who hears her lute-playing would immediately feel really sleepy. Strong-willed people may be able to resist for a while, but ordinary people would just fall asleep right away. Of course, she can exempt her allies from the effect. 2. Wish For A Peaceful Life Everyone who hears her lute-playing would become sluggish, as their mind became clouded. They would have difficulty thinking and their awareness lowered. Of course, she also can exempt her allies from this effect. 3. March of The God-King Any ally would feel refreshed and strengthened as they hear her playing. Any wounds they may have will stop being painful for as long as they can hear her lute. 4. A Plucked Heart Every time Layla plucks a string from her lute, an invisible blade flies towards the enemy. It's quite tiny, only causing a scratch if it connects. However, seeing how she can do it many times in just a second, it can immediately overwhelm a non-heavily armored enemy. This spell is necessary for her as it allows her to fight bandits and raiders she meets on her travels.
