[i]	"Don't mention it." Jace fell into a long bout of silence after that as his thoughts roamed wild. How could he have said no to him in the first place? His best friend, his only friend, was dying before his eyes and with each passing minute he grew closer to death's embrace. Basil had asked him once before, a while back if they could go visit the aquarium, but Jace has said 'no,' because it was too dangerous. Now he wished more than anything that he'd taken him that day, just so they could have enjoyed the day without feeling as if it was going to be the last they spent together. No one ever knew what the future held in store for them, though, until the unthinkable is brought down on top of them.
	"I'm sorry, Basil. I should have brought you here a long time ago. I know that is what you wanted, but I was selfish to turn you down." Jace looked off to the side in shame. "Forgive me for being a ass."[/i]
