Jace was rendered silent after hearing that, not knowing how to respond. He didn't know if it was because it was something that he wanted or needed to hear, but it stopped him nevertheless. Before he had the opportunity to say anything, Kaye, Leith, and Raider stepped out of the clearing, but he didn't even notice.
	When Kaye saw Jace holding the gun up to Basil, her heart caught in her throat and she stopped dead in her tracks. "Jace!" she yelled loud enough for Jace to hear her.
