I noticed in your cs also that he neither "cares for the rules or hierarchy" and was making poor grades. The academy would have disciplined him hard for that, especially since his family name was known but it sounds like he never had to deal with the consequences for his behavior. The military is about order and discipline and if he wasn't showing either of that then they would have taken disciplinary measures against him.
