About the blind thing, it was a typo.
It should be "almost making him blind" but i was literally rushing to try and get my character accepted.

He wasn't expelled because his family was very influent. That and his good physical were the only things saving him from being expelled  (I believe I explained this on the CS)

About what happened with the other students? he doesn't know. He was sent to the hospital after that.
