Link Monsters also have directional arrows on them (North, East, West, Southwest, etc) called Link Markers, the number of which varies based on their Link Number. Those arrows, btw, determine their Linked Zones.

Card looks okay. I like it. I feel like the summon condition may be a little too cheap, but I don't think it'll be used for much anyways. "Demon" in the OCG is changed in the TCG to "Archfiend", so I don't know whether or not you want that Archfiend support; but maybe it'll help tie Summoned Skull into the deck.

Whatever plot stuff you guys come up with, please run it by me so I don't get too much in the way of it.

Please use the template. It's for ease of copy-paste, making the cards look more consistent in the "custom card" catalogue that I put up.

Effect looks okay. "Neoprince" sounds kinda dumb as a name though.

@Lord Szall

Link Monsters tend to be weaker than their cost allows, though I feel your monster might actually be harder to bring out than you might think, not to mention it helps your opponent make plays. It doesn't quite have the whole "Emotions" motif that your other cards have though, so maybe change that.

And for you two who want Link Monsters, we're going to have to discuss how you get them. I really don't want them to just show up in your characters' decks because in-game the mechanic and the rules that come with it are going to be a new thing.

How about I add the same clause that Summoned Skull has to it? i.e. (This card is always treated as an "Archfiend" card.).

@KOgaming I have been explained due to the way they are summoned that there did need to be a change in cost, so I quickly edited that



With its name, it is technically a Calm Dragon, but since it won't be playing off any of the Rage effects, and because it's Purpose is to benefit the coming Extra Deck, it doesn't require Calm or Rage in the name to be played. It is actually more relevant to Lock Rage Dragon, Ergo the name "Power Lock Dragon".

Edit: As for how you go about getting them, how about having the principal order them into classes? Role in the new monsters for students as they are now required in the new format? You could even say they are being early released for the school.

I'm deciding that Link Monsters will be given out to different players by special guests who visit the school to duel the students to see if they're worthy of using them. That way I can keep Link Monsters kinda scarce and special and make it so that most of the time, it'll only be player characters and really serious bad guys who have them. Though it's not like you can't get around not using Link Monsters.

Guest characters will be legacy characters from DM and GX whose personalities, backgrounds, styles, and decks I hopefully won't butcher.

@KOgamingI have informed the other players to activate their traps before I do my turn I am giving them a few more hours before Rumi runs away (this just counts as her losing her lose points and losing in this way she mentally is still a little girl after all)

Three out of Five houses are royally f**ked without Link Monsters. That being Fusion, Synchro and Xyz. If you go about this, we have to assume that everyone who doesn't get Link monsters from these houses leave the school entirely, or end up leaving the house for a different one because they can no longer play their deck in the format.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong, however.

I know the cards are strong, but I fully expected the three of you to be able to actually go against it instead of just stall for game. Eklispe made a pretty smart move though, discarding Necroface so those banished cards couldn't be shuffled back into the deck, not to mention leaving you an 8.5k beater to deal with.

Still, I would like the posts to come sooner to advance the plot.
