Death gazes at you from under his hood, his scythe hanging from one hand and an hour glass dangling from the other. "Do not disrespect my gift," he tells you, his voice resonating in your chest. You promise you won't, you beg he keep his word. In response, he hands you the hour glass, the sand snaking back up into the upper chamber. He's giving you more time. "Find the others," he commands. "Before I change my mind."
So Death's Gifts is a working title (I've also considered calling it New Gods) for an idea I've had rattling around in my head for a couple days. It's a modern fantasy where your character has a near death experience and when they meet Death, he makes a very vague deal with them before they wake up in the hospital to find that they have powers now, specifically related to how they died. Like a person died from drowning would control water, another from burning controls fire, etc. Death gave them time and these powers to prove themselves as fit to be new gods, whether they wanted it or not.
I just wanted to make sure people were actually interested before making a big OC and stuff like that. If you have any ideas to contribute i would really love that, I'm always open to suggestions
