Bio: The son of a policeman in New England, Kingsley spent his early life in the town of Frankton. At the age of fifteen Art Kingsley Sr. was killed in the line of duty, preventing a robbery. His family moved to Los Angeles so that his widow could be close to her family. Arthur Kingsley Jr. joined the LAPD at the age of 18, in 1934. for the next seven years he worked his way up to the rank of Detective Sergeant. Then, on the 7th of December 1941 the forces of Imperial Japan attacked the naval base at Pearl Harbour, in Hawaii. Kingsley joined the army the same day, over the protests of his superior who still agreed to keep his position for him.
Kingsley attended the Officer Candidate School and graduated as a Second Lieutenant in mid 1942, then served in North Africa and Italy. Then, on December 31st, 1944, Captain Kingsley was hit by a sniper bullet in northern Italy. Two months and three operations later, Kingsley was discharged from the US Army. Returning to the West Coast, resuming his post as Detective Sergeant.
