I'll give this a try. I only have a slight condition as I create my character.

I want him to have a loyal retainer/bodyguard who is an orc. A slave brought into service while my character was still young, but sees the orc as something of a brother with all that implies. He bullies him because he's older and human, but also protective and watchful of him. In the current time he would be my character's mostly loyal ally and the only one who may speak freely with my character (when appropriate of course). 

My character will most likely be a human and, as a warrior, much prefers full plate armor over royal clothing. Everything else is doable for me.
