Name: Rathal Venberos Gender: Male Age: 20 Race: Elf Primary Class: Stealth Secondary Class: Alchemist / Forager Appearance: Rathal could be described in the likeness of a mountain ash, with spindly limbs and all the grace of the tree shifting in the wind. He wears light, natural colors, such as whites and greens and browns, and his limp, pale hair is kept shaved on either side of his head and long on top, often tied back in a high tail. His eyes are like gently rolling hills of verdant, wide and bright with innocence, and his features are small, plump and youthful. Personality: Rathal is relentlessly kind, eager to help those in need. Empathetic and forgiving, even if he were to anger, the emotions would die in timidity. Yielding to a fault, he will almost always accommodate the will of others, so long as it does not directly endanger his self for those he cares for. As an elf, he worships nature, respecting the land above all else, and, consequently, the disrespect of the land is one of the few things that will anger him. Rathal is somewhat of a pacifist, not being skilled in the sword nor the bow, and becomes quickly helpless in violent confrontations. Backstory: In the great forests of Inlustris, the elves make a peaceful existence in small villages, using the land's rich wildlife and soil to sustain themselves. In one such village, a community called Prioc Gor, an orphaned elf was brought to a healer as an infant. Kasula Venberos, such was the healer's name, called the elf boy Rathal and raised him as her own. Rathal grew up in the healing profession. Though unskilled with magic, he found his affinity with herbs, venoms, extracts, and other alchemical reagents. Through the experiments of him and his teacher, the village was blessed with powerful medicines, antidotes and potions. Through Rathal's own experiments, the village was blighted with accidental bombs and toxic gases, though the healing pair was often quick to remedy any adverse situation. Rathal quickly earned a reputation as a bit of a clutz and a troublemaker, though his relationship with the village was always good-natured. Kasula's reputation, on the other hand, was never well-founded within the village. Despite being an excellent healer, her attitude towards others was sour at the best of times, and she was known to be short and rough with her treatments. Being one of the village's oldest elves, she was the target of rumors denouncing her as a witch. Only Rathal knew how truly kind she was beyond her callous visage. Rathal was the only one to mourn her the day Kasula died. Leaving behind a generous stockpile of medicines, the young elf fled the village in the night, desperate to escape his grief and find purpose in the wide world. Weapons: Though more as a tool than a weapon, Rathal carries a four-inch steel dagger.
