Brecken eventually settled herself down on a stump that had once been a modestly-sized tree, which had been toppled in a storm some years ago. She closed her eyes, listening quietly. This was not unusual for her. This meditation was what kept her sane through sometimes weeks or months of isolation. It was hard, sometimes, but Brecken didn't miss kingdom life, not one bit. If she had the chance to run away all over again, she'd take it in a heartbeat. Less than that, actually. She reopened her unusual dark eyes, letting one slender hand play with her pale hair almost subconsciously.
