With a back and forth conversation discussing the implications of this, Toun puts forth a theory that explains how the domains and portfolios of demigods come about. It involves three elements:

1. There are 'roles' in the universe that draw divine essence. When a role is not occupied by a god, a new god is born to occupy it.
2. Gods may draw essences out to fill particular absent roles by willing it so. Most gods either unconciously will the essences to fill familiar roles or simply let the randomness of the universe pick for them.
3. Gods can only really will essences to take roles that are a subset of their own role, but two or more gods can combine their essences to will a new essence into a role that none of them possess in full.

Quite the theory you got there....would be horrible if a certain knowledge god/sin demi-god started conversing and fucking things up.

What with the IC revelation of Kyre's death posted, I really need to write that out.

Outlined and started the post. It's fairly high on my priorities list so I'll aim to have it out soon.

I have little to no idea. I haven't really asked nor thought about using Arguis to until the Battle of Xerxes hiatus gave me time to think. I had an experimental post ready that detailed Amartía's mental breakdown after the battle in which Arguis appears before him and speaks with him. But now I think he will play a more integral part in Amartía's life. I'll talk to Kho about it and see how far I can truly go.

Edit: Actually, that is a lie. I talked to Kho about letting Amartía actively search through Arguis' memories to find out how the last universe ended, and use that as a bargaining chip against Fate. So, yeah.

@LokiLeo789 Ah, just saw your three-months ago message requesting info on how the Mk.1 universe actually ended.

Thing is...I don't even know if the Mk.1 universe HAS ended. For all we know, it could still be going on in parallel with the Mk.2 universe.

That's confusing on some levels man. Amartía and his soul are a super anomaly.

@LokiLeo789 Not at all. Various souls from Mk.1 have somehow made it into Mk.2. It would simply mean, if Mk.1 is still going, that they were somehow torn from the Mk.1 universe (i.e. mysteriously disappeared from there) and entered the Mk.2 universe.

That is true. Yet why create MK.2 if Mk.1 isn't destroyed? How would all the dead souls of the old MK.1 gods exists?

We created Mk.2 because Mk.1 came to something of a dead-end, no fresh blood, too much using of the whip, the population was ridiculously low, people got busy, we collectively thought a restart would be for the best.

If Mk.1 is ongoing, a transfer of a character's soul from Mk.1 to Mk.2 would happen as such:

Arguis was sat in his glorious library teaching Thulemiz his ABCs.
'Need to go to the loo quickly, brb.' Said Arguis.

He never came back.

OR

Thulemiz left to study.
'I'll be back!' he said.

He never came back.

etc.

Edit: the implication being that they never came back because they were sucked into a wormhole which spat them out in Mk.2

@Bright_Ops 3 + level (in your case, 4) + net holy site income etc. (in your case 0).

That makes it 7 Might per turn

It was a huge mistake to make any part of Divinus mk. 1 canon

:$

Shoulda just chucked it all out the window and not done any of this reincarnation nonsense. Too messy, and half of the current people weren't even in the last RP and are thus having all these references fly over their heads.

@Cyclone It's not like the references actually require any knowledge of Mk.1 whatsoever - and when anyone asks about what happened, I'm very forthcoming. Plus, I personally like building on what came before rather than pretending it didn't exist. Having tradition is important.

You tempt me to make bunch of obscure references to random characters from other RPs that are totally unrelated to this one and that you weren't a part of. Alas, it'd be too much work just for me to make a snarky point and troll you.

Having tradition is important.

@Cyclone Gooooooood. For tradition remains alive only when we struggle with against it.
