Naya Tonnerre
As the other talked, her gaze narrowed in what could only be a mix of concern and annoyance. Was he joking? "Olympus Academy..." she started, but allowed her voice to trail off as he moved onto the next subject: his lousy mother. Of course, a godly parent could be lousy, but never in such a mortal way, so her mind ran through the list of possible godly fathers. Nothing that came to mind quite stuck as she watched him. "My dad is afraid of me, so he sends me here every year to learn some self control," she said, and maybe it was a sober subject. However, she forced a smile and even took on a valley girl tone, almost mocking the other student and his giddiness.

She flinched, suddenly, when the diary sounded with a thud behind him. "Uh, do you really not know what this place is?" she asked, a single eyebrow raising. "Who's your father?"

@The One

Riddley Kingsley
Another student may have been startled by Leona's sudden approaching, but Riddley returned the friendliness with a smile and stretched her hand to shake. "Wow, I love your hair. And you're so beautiful! Definitely an Aphrodite kid. Welcome to Olympus Academy. I'm Riddley Kingsley, daughter of the one and only Athena," she greeted. Unaware that she might have came off too strong, Riddley opened her mouth to continue. However, another child of Aphrodite approached. With two of them right before, Riddley's crooked smile grew--she was well aware of the effect Aphrodite and her children could have on others, but it was almost intoxicating between two of them. "Wow..." she sighed dreamily, looking between the two very beautiful students, reminding herself in her head that love at first sight was most definitely not a thing, right?

Despite the fluttery feeling in her stomach, there was always one person who could turn a good mood sour. Alexander's voice cut through the air, and her smile immediately faded as she narrowed her eyes in his direction. Between the children of Aphrodite and the son of Zeus, the auras of charisma were almost too much for Riddley, but the hate she felt for the boy was just strong enough to hold them at bay. "I'm busy actually welcoming students to our Academy, Alex. Maybe put a hold on being a harpy, hm? But since you mention it," she called, turning back to the two as her hand reached out to catch some of the drizzle, "If you notice the weather, the gods aren't happy. They're all very, very tired of Zeus acting as 'King.' I'm sure Aphrodite couldn't agree more: his treatment of marriage, women, and love is a personal affront to the goddess of Love herself. We need to represent our godly parents here on Earth if we want to see anything change. What do you guys think?"

Elsker

Elsker listened to him but his answer didn't really help. He knew he was at Olympus Academy, but he just didn't exactly know what this place was, he felt so different here, He couldn't make sense out of any of it. He listened to him talk about his father before he asked him about his own.

"Olympus Academy? That's all I know. I honestly have no idea what this place is, and my father? I don't know, he abandoned me. I don't care for an asshole like him. Through her drunkeness, my mother said he was a 'love freak' or something. She was worried he'd infect all the girls with his love experties or whatever else, most of it is probably the alcohol and drugs talking though so, you never know."

He gave a small shrug and sighed.

Sal

Sal listened to the twins and as he did, somebody handed him a paper. He grabbed it but didn't bother looking at it until they were done. He gave a look at the paper to see that it was a party. He gave a small nod, simple enough. After that he looked back at the twins.

"Oh you can definately get a room together for sure if you like. It's a good place here. You'll be glad you came, it's good to know about your parents. I never knew my father, that is until I accidentally grew wings. Then I knew something was up. Apparently, according to my mother I used to talk to her in her head as a baby too."

And to show them what he meant he closed his eyes and focused on their names.

"Like this, see."

His voice would come in their head. He opened his eyes again and smiled. He wondered if they would figure out that the first message was actually him trying to prank them.

Location: Olympus Academy - Front Courtyard
Mentioned: @Helo

Longer fingers took the page from his fingers, gaze dropping for half a moment to glance across the flier. It wasn't long that it took her to read over it, knowing that one of the Hermes kids would get her the location, or maybe she's just stick around with someone else until they got the message. Lifting her gaze back to the Son of Ares, she caught his gaze and saw him thinking. His lips moved around words, a smile, cheer that Auria herself had not been able to muster in the last year. Most others left her alone, while Hudson was good with people, and Zelma was too new to actually make friends; Auria had never really tried before. Was this her first attempt at non-violent interaction? Perhaps it really was, but that didn't really bother her. Right?

"I'll be there if I get the message."

The daughter of Hades watched him, her playful smirk faltering only for a moment before she was back at her facade. Hudson had been teaching her how to interact this way only a few days ago, in one of their secret lessons. Of course, she would likely fail the interaction in the end. Sort of like the last time she talked to a Hermes kid; she threatened his and all his siblings lives if they ever got in her head again. Turning her thoughts from the year she had been here and spent alone, she trailed her gaze over the young mans shoulders, looking behind him for a brief moment at scenes caused. There were plenty of people about, and less breathing space. She was liable to turn on someone if they popped up behind her.

"Do you... Want to talk somewhere else? It's getting a bit crowded here."

The only kinds of crowds she actually liked, were those full of the dead and dying. It was what she was used to, and even being here for a year, she hadn't gotten used to any of it. She had a purpose, and the urge to play with her food, and it was driving her towards the edge standing around with so many people close by. Some were loud, others quiet; she could feel and see things that they didn't; the students babbling about completely irrelevant things. The tension in her covered shoulders was clear, hands now shoved in her sweater pockets, fingers curled around the handle of a knife. She almost wished that she could have one of her hounds up here too, but even Hades knew it was a bad idea to send her with one of their bloodthirsty pets.

Lucas's cobalt blue jeep stood out prominently against the tawny colouration of the Greek hillside. Lucas had missed Greece. Sure his summer in New Jersey was great, but this was where Lucas truly felt at home. The warm Mediterranean sun toned his already bronze skin through the open sunroof. The beautiful olive trees garnished the cliffs leading to the crystal clear cerulean waters of the sea. The breeze carried the scent of wines from the local vineyards and lilac from the low lying shrubs. It was truly perfect.

He was even more excited to get back on campus. His archery skills hadn't had much honing and Newark gave little muse for his art. Then there was the people. The mosaic of different people and their personality's, their godly powers and abilities; Olympus Academy was truly a one of a kind place. Lucas pressed the gas down further, adjusting his shades as the yellows and browns blended into resilient greens. It wasn't long before the roofs of the school came into view. Standing tall in the middle of a forested valley. The fountains of the courtyard were as striking as ever. Demigods bustled around, some hurrying off while others talked. Some read or painted or played music in the warm suns glow, while others kicked a soccer ball or threw a Frisbee.

Lucas cranked the radio up as he drove down, past the wrought fencing to student parking. Finding an open spot between an old Harley and a Cadillac, he pulled up and shut off the ignition. Instantly, standing right in front of his car, he saw a familiar face.

Hudson Fulbright

Hudson planned on reading in solitude. Perfect solitude. He found the greatest peace he could have was to be alone in the rain. However he reiecved many interruptions, the first of which being Micah, summoning a shield over him to protect him from the rain. Hudson didn't look up from his book, he just dismissively waved two fingers at him, a signal to buzz off. He was very happy when Micah did so. Micah had been trying to be friends or something with Hudson since he joined. Hudson disliked the idea profusely. The only friend he needed was Phoenix, who he'd somehow befriended on his first day. He got along sort of well with that Ares kid. Who was he? Enzo, that's it. He became almost friends with Enzo just to worm his way into team Athena, as it was called, but also so Enzo didn't beat the living daylights out of him when his deception was revealed.

At the sound of a Harley Davidson pulling into the parking lot, near his reading no, Hudson fled to the quad, fearing conversation. Despite what his sister Auria thought, he was terrible with people. He couldn't quite understand him. His thoughts were taken up with what he wanted to teach Auria in their social lessons. He was so lost in thought he didn't notice that he walked into someone, knocking both of them back a little. On closer inspection, he noticed that person was Alexander, son of Zeus, duke of Värmlamd, king of stuck up jerks. "Oh, wow, my lucky day!" He mockingly remarked. "My first day of school and I've already taken down royalty. Next stop, Olympus." With this rather political joke, and looked up at Riddley, winking. "Hey, Einstein, don't politically asult the newbies yet, hey?" He stood up brushing the gravel of his shirt.

He had shown a rather low opinion of Zeus to many, gaining the trust of Riddley, who seemed to be leading the upcoming student revolution. It was only fair, gain the trust of a big shot, and get your father back on Olympus, where he belongs. A politically correct plan and deliciously devious. He couldn't have been prouder of himself for coming up with it. Next, he noticed his sister talking to Enzo, getting rather nervous in the crowd. "Well, well. Morning sister. March. What's this, hey?" He asked, greeting each of them in turn, and snatching away one of the flyers from Enzo's hands. "A party? That sounds awful! Trust a son of Dionysus, hey?" He crushed the flyer in his fist, throwing it over his shoulder. He then quietly told Auria about his little corner in the parking lot, just in case she wanted to talk to Enzo more. He cooly walked away to a bench, a more quiet place to read, calling over his shoulder "Thank me later!"

Dylan

Dylan smiled wide as he passed out fliers and exchanged pleasantries with students. Phoenix let him know that she would be attending, and he hadn’t recalled seeing her at too many of his events so he was glad to see she was coming around. “Wouldn’t be the same without ya, Frenchie.” He said before shifting his attention to the next person. Jason/Jamie accepted his flier and confirmed his attendance. “Fantastic, it wouldn’t be a party without clan Aphrodite there.” He said with a wink. Now Jason/Jamie’s powers were pretty impressive. Dylan, being the son of a fertility god, could certainly appreciate powers of seduction. He pinned some fliers too trees around the school and all over the bulletin board of student activities.

The rain continued to pour down but his fliers, hexed to keep their message a secret from adults, stayed dry thanks to the help he had from some of the more magically inclined demigods. This magic didn’t protect them from Hudson, who, of course, took one from Enzo so that he could crumple it up and toss it to the ground to show off his ‘I’m too cool and apathetic to enjoy a good time’ attitude. “Oh look another rebel without a cause dysfunctional child of Hades, how passé. I guess partying with the living isn’t your thing?” He mused, as he passed Hudson, and picked up the crumpled flier from the ground and disposed of it in the proper receptacle. No need to anger Demeter or any of the other earth deities, Dionysus was god of the grape harvest as well as winemaking after all, so he had a natural fondness of earth deities. Plus, he knew a few children of Demeter who grew some killer green in there dorms and he preferred to stay on their good sides.

Enzo

Enzo noticed the stiffening of her posture, the hiding of her hands, and playful smile that dropped just long enough to be noticeable. Was this a trick? Engage him then lead him away from the others for an ambush She seemed tense and uncomfortable, but the cause of this was what worried him, were her nerves heightened in the anticipation of attack or from the awkwardness that could come from social interactions. He could not see her hands. Do you want to talk somewhere else? It’s getting a bit crowded here. He remembered the time before the academy, when mortals would attempt to best him in combat, when groups of them would jump him. He remembered their tense muscles before the violence, smelling anticipation and sweat on them before they foolishly tried to beat down the Son of Ares. Could she really be that foolish? He wondered as the anger in him rose.

A deep breath. 10, 9, 8. Exhale. Inhale. 7, 6, 5. Let it got. She does not want to fight. He reassured himself. What reason could she have to want to fight. 4, 3, 2. Exhale again. Focus, she wants to talk to you, crowed spaces may make her uncomfortable. Enzo reassured himself, he remembered how uncomfortable he had been around large groups, always on edge waiting for one them to strike out at him. 1. Relax. The anger was buried again, deep within, where it belonged and where it was unable to harm those around him.

“Sorry, I uh spaced out a bit, yeah we can go someplace else, I’m sure Dylan has the flier thing covered.” He said relaxing back to his previous demeanor. Then Hudson, Auria’s half-brother and another child of Hades snatched one of his fliers and threw it on the ground. It was typical for Hudson but Enzo found it a little rude and most of the time small slights like that would be enough to set of his temper. He managed to let that go as well, mostly because Hudson was on his way before Enzo really had a chance to react. His father should be proud, he was two for two today at keeping his temper in check. “How was your summer?” He asked turning his focus to Auria and allowing Hudson to leave his mind.

Alessio & Aria Russo

Interactions: @Apoalo & @The One

Aria's eyes narrow at him, as she recognised the voice, but doesn't say anything. "Well, we had no idea about our father. Our mother died when we were 7, and we weren't told anything about him. We grew up with only each other, and eventually found out we had some...powers, I guess they're called," she says, indicating to her ears and eyes that still look like a cheetah's.

"Then the bloody old man actually dared to stand before us, and send us to this ridiculous academy," Alessio mutters.

"I am Zeus, and I am your father. Yes, my name is like the Olympian God, because I am the Olympian God. I know it's a lot to take in, but the two of you are demi-gods. I need to send you to Olympus Academy. There, you will find out more about me, and learn how to control your powers. I am also sending you there for your own protection." Aria mimics Zeus' voice perfectly.

"Protection my foot," Alessio spits, his eyes ablaze. "We've been in more dangerous and life threatening situations than most, yet he seems to think that now is okay to send us to some stupid academy for protection?" His voice is nearly shrill by the end of it, as he was so worked up. "We don't need his bloody protection!"

Peony Waters & Daemon Ivanov

Interactions: Open

Peony rushes through the dorms, her 8 year old self, trying to escape her best friend. Daemon rushes around, trying to catch Peony, but never seems to be able to. "Peony!" he cries, "slow down!" He is out of breath, and can't keep up with her much longer.

"No way!" she screams back, not bothering to look. Daemon stops running, too out of breath to continue. He stands in the middle of the hallway, watching Peony disappear. His form is bent over, as he tries to catch his breath.

"Peony!" he calls out when he can't see her anymore. "Please come back!"

Araluen Pallis

Interactions: Open

Araluen enters the grounds of the academy. She looks around, her grey eyes darker than normal. She scowls, annoyed at the fact she has to attend the academy. But Artemis wanted it done, and she was the only one who was reliable enough. She normally just goes with the flow, but seriously? An academy? She's too old to go to an academy. There isn't anything she needs to learn from an academy! Maybe she can just do a quick count. Who's on who's side, before heading back to Artemis...

She remembers what Artemis told her, and she groans. Nope. That won't do. She has to stay. Oh, well. At least she'd meet new people. She begins to head towards the closest building.

Dmitri Petrov

Interactions: Open

Dmitri lay under a tree, his eyes closed. He sighs, loving the breeze that drifted over him. It was nice and peaceful, and he hoped it would stay that way. Not many people talk to him, and he's happy about it. Let's hope there are no Italians this year... he thinks to himself. He relaxes his muscles, slowly. It takes a while, but he feels refreshed afterwards. Not so wound up and tight.

Leona

Leona turned around as someone walked up to her and began to speak. She stared at him for a minute feeling a mix of surprise and confusion. Son of Aphrodite but techincally daugher too? That she didn't understand. None the less she gave smile and then out stretched her arms to give him a hug. "Hello Brother." She then turned to Riddley who commented on her hair. She smiled brightly and then someone else came, and the subject changed. Her opinion was asked for. "Honestly, I don't want the Gods to fight. There has to be a way to settle this peacefully, I have to believe that. Love will save the day. I just know it." She gave a confident smile as she looked to her brother to see what his opinion was.

Zelma

Zelma continued to sit alone that was until someone sat beside her. She looked to him but said nothing instead completely ignoring the person. When he offered her a smoke she turned to him and rose her voice. "Who the fuck are you? No I don't want a fucking smoke." With that she snapped it out of his hand and tore it in half in front of his eyes then threw it on the floor. As she did she stamped on it and crushed it under her foot. Perhaps that would give him the message to fuck off and leave her alone but just in case he still didn't get it she began to sing loud enough for everyone to hear.

James Harrison

ACTIVATE: CAUSUAL MUSIC

After he had finished unpacking James decided to go around the academy and see who else was attending this Olympian school, probably stuck up demigod assholes he thought to himself. His first glimpse of the other students were a couple of demigods that he guessed were the children of Aphrodite. He could tell because they gave off a happy and loving aura.

"Maybe this won't be that bad, I might get one of those daughters of Aphrodite to go on a date with me" he said to himself with a chuckle. His conscience still tried to remind him that these were demigods and therefor his natural enemy. But still it couldn't hurt to ask one out on a single date. He turned his attention away from the Aphrodite kids and looked at a few other demigods. Most of them he could only guess who their godly parent was, but he would make it a habit to find out which Olympian is their parents.

When he got closer he heard a few of them introduce themselves. Some of these students seemed okay with revealing their identities, but James wasn't sure yet if he wanted to do so as well. He received a flier from one of the students and gave a wink. James looked at the flier and at first was confused, but then figured out that it was some code and seemed to talk about a party. This wasn't surprising since there had to be children of Dionysus attending the school. James would think about it and would come to a conclusion when the time came.

His attention was then brought towards two students having some harsh words with each other. From their heated insults James learned that the girl Riddley was a daughter of Athena and the boy Alex was a son of Zeus. The obvious was a fight waiting to happen. James snorted in disgust at these stuck up brats, just because their parents were now stuck in a power struggle didn't mean that the entire world had to go to hell for it. He walked up to them and had words to speak.

"Hay. How about you two assholes quit being as idiotic as your parents. Ever since you Olympians have taken charge, the world has been a mess and full of chaos. Back when the titans ruled everything was perfect and none of this shit was happening. So does us a favor and keep your superficial hate bullshit to yourselves" he said with his voice full annoyance and a bit of anger. He couldn't stand how these Olympian kids acted like their moronic parents.

Someday this world will belong to the titans again and it will be a new golden age, that'll be the day James thought to himself. Already he could tell that this semester looked to be total drama show.

The sudden silence of the man before her caused her to become acutely aware of the rising voices around them. The insistent yelling of the pair of twins, her younger sister throwing a fit over nothing. What was with everyone and trying to be so damn edgy? It was pathetic! Not one of them before her were warriors; children acting spoiled and ignorant. Hades may have had others after her, but she knew she would always be the one he trusted most. Zelma and Hudson barely knew the god after all. Fingers curled into fists beside her hips, having slipped from her pockets as the ground began to tremble beneath her feet. Was it Enzo's aura, or was it just her being annoyed and fed up with how idiotic a lot of these children were? Auria wasn't thinking straight, the ground heating up beneath her as the stone began to fall away while the portal opened around her. It was his voice that snapped her out of it again.

Her eyes widened, cheeks flushed with embarrassment as the portal closed and she shoved her hands back into her pocket. What she hadn't realized at first were the hands reaching out of the ground. Turning on her heel, she stepped on the hand and ground it into the stone. There was no blood and it quickly turned to ash. Shoulders were tense; her lack of control bothered her more than anything. She closed her eyes for a moment, a large wolf-dog walking up beside her as if coming out of the shadows around them; he was warm, like a low burning fire. His shoulder lined up with her waist, and the daughter of Hades scratch behind his ears.

"Come on Warrior Boy; I have the perfectly place out of the rain."

Demetrius wised up and went to take care of registering himself so the administration knew he was present and not having someone else sign in for him like he tried to do his first year. Cordial nods were returned to those who addressed him, and he went into the dorm halls to find his place of residence for the upcoming year. He'd hoped his fish had survived the long summer: Mr. and Mrs. Krakken were some feisty goldfish, Mrs. Krakken always bossed Mr. Krakken around, and Demetrius was sure Krakken Jr. had lost all respect for his father. What a dysfunctional family they were. Demetrius tossed some feed in the tank for his beloved trio and got to the business of tidying up his living quarters. There were still some left-over Hawaiian shirts and jean shorts from last year stashed away in his closet. He threw on the brightest Hawaiian shirt he could find (an annoying flush yellow) and frayed jean shorts. A pair of blue flip flip flops finished the outfit and before he knew it he resembled the finest middle-aged, gold-hunting-with-a-metal-detector-on-a-beach man he knew. At least he didn't wear socks and flip flops.

He didn't have a phone so there was little to distract him from the silence of his room apart from the swell of chatter among his peers outside the door. He shut his door for a while and reclined on his bed with hands resting behind his waist length 'locks. The rain hadn't stopped; Demetrius wondered if Athena and his pops were having another argument--or maybe today was Tuesday? He never recalled his dad enjoying Tuesday much. It was all arbitrary either way. Tension was brewing among the Pantheon, and he--and no doubt his siblings--could feel it. Things were about to change, and Demetrius only hoped they changed for the better. Nothing good ever came out of his aunts and uncles fighting one another. Goodness, Demetrius thought, will it ever end?. It wasn't something he could concern himself with right now--all he wanted was some sleep and quiet. A good song always did it for him; he began whistling a sea shanty to himself:

So we’ll ro-o-oll the old chariot along!
An’ we’ll roll the golden chariot along!
So we’ll ro-o-oll the old chariot along!
An’ we’ll all hang on behind!

A smile crossed his face as sleep fell over him. A vivid dream about the ocean's deep.
