PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER This post will develop over time. It will include explanation of rules/procedures, expand upon gameplay ((as we encounter issues)) and add information to OOC questions. DM: Uncle Mayhem – Forum/Gameplay Structure, Campaign, NPCs, Enemies Co-DM: Arsefacetheugly – Deathwatch Tabletop Rules HOW DO WE PLAY? 1. Complete the 15 Step Registration & Character Creation process that is outlined below. 2. Get Character Sheet Approved by DM, party members joining later may need an Introductory RP story before joining main IC posts. 3. At its simplest- The DM will post IC setting a scene or providing a location. These will be episodic and numbered. At the end of some the IC paragraphs/sentences may be a numbered bracket, like this. ((#1)) This number will be found on a coinciding DM OOC post with instructions from the DM. These could be any number of things…Skill Checks, Initiative, Combat or just an idea I would like to see you expand upon through RP. PCs then respond through a combination of OOC/IC Posting. More on this will beexplained below as this all develops. 4. DM IC posts will progress the setting once A.) All PC’s have responded to previous IC, followed any DM instructions and participated in any applicable dice rolls or RP. B.) every other Sunday, whichever happens first. CHARACTER SHEETS (CS) 1. ((This section will surely evolve and expand over time.)) 1.Respond to any/all OOC numbered tags ((#1)). When creating any IC post you MAY NOT!: 2. Create any dialogue for other Player Characters, NPCs and/or Enemies. ((Unless DM notes otherwise, this is somewhat dependent on dice rolls. More later.)) 3. Create any actions/reactions/movements/encounters ect for other Player Characters, NPCs and/or Enemies. ((See above^)) YOU MAY- 4. Monologue internal dialogue, thoughts, reactions on presented DM IC material. Explanations on how you spend your times alone, reflections on past events ((posts)). Just make sure your timeline matches the previous posts. 5. Respond to DM Initiated Skill/Stat/Initiative Checks and/or engage in Encounters. 6. Initiate Characteristic Checks, Skill Checks, Encounters as they relate to the environment/characters. ((More on how this all actually works to come)) 7. WAIT BEFORE POSTING IC! The DM needs a chance to translate dice rolls and how it impacts the narrative. For example; you read part of the DM IC and decided you want to make a SKILL TEST:FORBIDDEN LORE:XENOS. If you fail, there isn't a really isn't much to say in addition. However, if you pass with multiple degrees of success you may pull some important informant into the next DM IC post. Sometimes the DM will add it to the DM IC post, at times PCs may be asked to incorporate the information themselves into their IC post. COMBAT, DICE ROLLS & POSTING ((Work in Progress)) In the first few post we are going to continue on the developing RP with little emphasis on dice rolls. This first post will primarily focusing on simple Checks in order to ensure a (reasonably) and allow for PC response to DM created content. SOLO vs SQUAD MODE Until future notice, assume you are always in Solo Mode. More on this to come.
