We all need a nickname. It makes things catchier and it's fun. In my Dark Heresy/Only War campaign we had Glorygirl the stormtrooper, Blueblood the noble guardsman, Black Flag the commissar that somehow went to be a psyker, Sarge Sarge the ultimate badass that even when the GM tried to kill him he never failed a roll, Never Die the medic, Crashland the pilot, and Freakshow the psyker.

@Bushman501 LOL that would be fun, but I wonder how the more irritable characters would react to their Nicknames that may or may not be somewhat related to their physical appearance and or actions? Since I'm more than likely sure their nicknames will reflect something they frown upon.

For example, Gunter the Firestarter or Good Guy D'ren (Holy moly I'm bad with nicknames cause these sounded better in my head)

not THE lord of hell, just one of the many underworlds. Luci would never give up power to a mortal, though he did appreciate his enthusiasm.

and lmao. well firestarter is too cool for Gunty. how about bomb-dropper or psycho tree killer

Bit of a mouthful. Soldiers hate nicknames that are overcomplicated. It's why Vietcong in Vietnam was sometimes just called Charlie.

while its generally true that the military prefers to keep things short and simple (why they have acronyms for even the simplest things), i do think it would be funny to call him Psycho Tree Killer (slaughterer, murderer, burner, etc), just to get on Gunty's nerves, and then when theyre not talking to him, just about him, call him PTK...

...Or... something that goes with PTSD, like Psycho Tree-Sizzling Dude XD... or Tree-scorching dude

@Infamous Empath I haven't even finished reading your post, and I can say you've gone OP. Not only have you God Modded a NPC buy taking control of them and try to instant kill them but you've also made it so he cannot be hurt by any attack at all.

Honestly, I have never liked the nickname, "Gunty" for Gunther. I've seen "Gun" and I've seen "Gunner" both of which are acceptable, but you all can be more creative than that. I'm a fucking old man who retired as an infantry officer. I do appreciate the Airborne Ranger Infantry reference. I have attended Infantry school, but never Airborne or Ranger schools. I had an application for Ranger School in once about 30 years ago. Also, never heard of Kristy Lee Cook. She has a sweet tune, but that ain't my style. If you want a theme song, I personally prefer this one. I tend to go for more heavier rock music. I grew up listening to AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Blue Oyster Cult, KISS and Ozzy.

Aeris would be badass if he looked like that, but underneath his helmet is a surprise you wouldn't want to see, he was tortured, and beaten, and he was burnt at the stake for all the French to see... Templars had a very bad time during the Templar Heresy. Not all Angels are beautiful, there's a reason why he never lifts his Visor.

Yeah, Templars had a rough time. A very bad time. Their leader was burned to the stake, and I recall that the Templars had some secret about the Christian faith that only their leaders knew, and they took those secrets to the grave with them.

On a side note, I think looking at the situation as is, while we are indeed in a bad spot we kinda have to eliminate every single one of the law enforcers and "goblin-sized dwarves." Escape is grand but we'll just end up hunted again, this time with the enforcers having intelligence on us.
