You wake up in what appears to be an underworld of hell.
You start as a tortured slave at the bottom of the filthy denizen horde, and must work your way up.
You do that with whatever works best at the time.
Sometimes it's best to defy your master; others, to submit.
This is hell, so keep the following in mind: you will be tortured, killed, and have other violations done to you...and you cannot win in a fight against your masters without deception, persuasion, or charisma, so don't try.

Hah, yeah, it should be considerably different to be playing the master instead of the tortured.
But I'll bite. So we get a CS for this? Choose our own circle/sins/appearance/soul color customization?

do you think the GM is the only one with any power in this world?

the problem with people today (old, young, it doesnt matter) is instant gratification, the need to have super powers to beat people down to make themselves feel powerful. storytelling no longer really exists. character development is relegated to "weirdos" while Character Users have taken over forum RP, elevating themselves to elitists positions of power, IC and OOC.

In the past, a character profile was required, though im honestly quite over that. Once i introduce the world in the OOC and IC posts, i will probably just let players show up however they want, CS or no. It works well if RPers play themselves, but they dont have to. and 99% of players couldnt/wouldnt RP as themselves if their life depended on it anyway.

@Infamous Empath Less so when they have to put themselves through torture LOL, I mean it is a suuure way to motivate them to try Rp-ing as themselves.

Anyway, have you ever read Lucifer Morningstar? There was a tortured soul in that series who rose above the others, tricked and killed other demons and became a count with his own army of demon forces. He even tricked Amenadiel in his fight against Lucifer which resulted in Amenadiel's demise.

no i have not read it. but D'ren (the one in charge of Malevora) is human who is pretty much Luci's second-in-command... so i do know the premise. but how he got there is for IC lol

@Infamous Empath Ok, here's a suggestion. How about you start this up with only me present. And when more join you add them along the way. Or when I've escaped I happened to find them while travelling hell or something.
You can add something like "The previous posts don't matter to your story so feel free to join any time"

well thats pretty much the idea. though it would be a good idea to have at least one person for you to play off of, and, you know, betray or throw to the wolves.

in 16 years OOC and centuries IC, only one person has "Escaped", and that was because D'ren let her. the reason for that will also be divulged IC.

one of the goals of the RP is to make humans (RPers) understand that "human spirit" alone is BS and there are some things people will never conquer. again, its not about "winning," its about developing a character in a world where hope is literally non-existent. same as if it were a post-apocalyptic RP. except here it is probably more humid lol

@Zhaliora Oh hey ther, u interested in this RP? Rly wanna start this up. For all fuss people make on how ordinary and overused hell&heaven Rps are, I rarely see/never seen one purely focused on the aspect of hell.

@Bishop well i have a whole story based on heaven and hell and earth and all that. The Otherworlds Story, Gemini Trials (in sig) is my interpretation of "paradise," which is probably the most different from others. That being said, there will be a couple twists in this RP regarding the underworlds, Malevora, the gods of hell, etc.

@Zhaliora RPed some of it with me years ago, so she will probably be the only player starting out as a non-prisoner/slave, unless she wants to.

Also, i have nothing against people playing multiple characters.
