Needs to be hitting the back woods and broken down blocks to be finding the goods that really makes yer taste buds dance. Ain't nuthin' like sweet soul food. Oooo momma!" Gavin said before shoving another forkful in his mouth. Miss Sally couldn't help but chuckle. The man reminded her of how Zoie used to talk. Very excited and colorful to the point she wondered if half of it was actually English. She looked over to Ravi and smiled. "Oh don't worry mate. Been around ones like him before," she said kindly. "And thank you, we try. Captain Holloway runs a tight enough ship and everyone chips in," she added before glancing over towards James as he chimed in. Gavin laughed and nodded. "Ain't that the damned truth. I could be eaten road kill stew right now and chasing it down with's bathtub gin and I be happy but don't you let that be foolin' ya. I knows good eats and damn, I ain't had nutin' like this in a long damn while. Last time was when me ex fried up a batch of green maters before this wholes hit show began. Damn that woman could cook but what's southern gal can't who be worth her weight?" he laughed teasing a bit as he elbowed Ravi. "Gottas see how this one be cookin." As James said good night Miss Sally gave him a quick hug. "You get some rest, I will make sure everything is spit and polished around here." Gavin smiled with a mouth full of ribs. "Night man, nice meetin' ya!" he said from behind his clenched teeth, trying to keep the smoky goodness in his mouth. Mike had started clean up and people were heading out. "Follow me, I will get you two settled in for the evening," she said sending Froggy off and saying she had this. She knew he had a patient in the infirmary he needed to get back to. This was normally the point she took over for Ash anyways. Granted they hadn't had the full interview yet but today was different than most. "We are going to put you up in General Housing for now, single bedroom but two twin beds. Should be comfortable enough," she said as she lead them to supply and grabbed some bags, filling them up with various grooming items and some changes of clothing. Once that was taken care of she lead them south on LaGrange St to General Housing in Building 3 - all the while escorted by security. "They will keep post tonight. Once you decide to stay or leave then things will change but since you are new here we have to be careful," she told them. Gavin didn't mind, he was just shouldering the pack she gave him and stuffing his face full of food as they walked, grinning like a drunken fool over at Ravi from time to time. Leading into the building she opened 3D for them and showed them around. It was like she said, two beds in a bedroom and a bathroom. "We have hot water but try not to waste it," she added as she turned the heat on to warm up the room. "Breakfast starts at 7, just have the guys outside your door show you the way. Captain will speak with you then most likely. Get some rest, you two look like you could use it," she said before letting herself out and closing the door behind her. "Well hot damn!" Gavin exclaimed as he flopped down on the bed and tore into his meal more. He couldn't wait to take a shower but by the time he finished eating he was already dozing. He didn't even get his boots off before he was passed out. Piedmont Hospital Newnan: Lady Luck smiled on Piedmont hospital that evening, the dead seemed to be leaving the living alone. Didn't mean that were not there but at least wherever they were they were behind doors and couldn't get out just yet. Things were pretty much calm as one could hope for though that could change come morning. Thing was though, it was peaceful enough to let anyone hunkering down the for evening actually get some sleep but the cold would make it restless to some extent. One would always start a fire but fire meant warmth, light, and attention. Something someone might not want in the middle of the night. Thankfully though during the night, the temperature did not drop but actually rose. (Something that was an all too common occurrence in the state of Georgia. The place was weird like that.) It didn't rise much but only a few degrees. Hopefully the morning would bring another bright and sunny day and Georgia would do what it did best - melt snow. Snow was rare in the state and it never hung around long. It had been around longer than anyone would have wanted around there. Either way, for now, things were peaceful in and around Newnan. The night had come and tomorrow was another day.... What no one knew yet though was that come morning, there would be less people drawing breath and more walkers roaming about. (But again, that is another day) - END Of DAY~
