When the flames apparently have reached levels that surprised Gunter, he could only realize himself that he fucked up. It was ok, he was mortal. However, a fuck-up like this undoubtedly made everyone angry at him as he prepared a different type of grenade to play firefighter, only to have been washed up in a tide by Patricia. Patricia's words informed Gunter about the details of his mistake, but it was when Julia took his grenade launcher and his explosives that made Gunter severely angry, though keeping his calm.
In Gunter's eyes, Julia was already performing like a piss-poor leader even before they entered this combat. Gunter begrudgingly followed her, but only just with his instincts screaming that she was performing poorly from even a purely military standpoint. Yes, Gunter fucked up. But Julia was the worst fuck-up he has seen and this only proved to be reinforced by what happened next after the chewing he received. As he was getting chewed, Gunter took his assault rifle out but heard something coming. Not taking chances, Gunter used the power of the wind in a minor fashion to adjust the bracelet that was underneath his armor. Paranoia was setting in, so Gunter changed his one blue orbs to that of brown and the other to be green, the power of earth and air respectively. This would strengthen his defense and agility immensely at the cost of healing and the use of water, which Gunter did not need at this time. That was when they were interrupted. Although only 4 of the orbs can be changed in sacrifice of another passive ability, this kind of trick saved Gunter's life many times over.
The Enforcers, as they were called. Looking at them as if they were criminals, and that may be true in their eyes. To Gunter, he applied explosive force in the necessity of defense and responded as a soldier would to hostilities, but he knew that their perception would be the reality, as applied to any living being. And it was obvious that they were looking for a fight.
The Chief looked at Gunter, and he knew that the Chief was going to fight him. One on one? No, too many of them. They will want to deal with them efficiently, and so Gunter expected a double-team attack for triple team was a very difficult task even for masters of combat. It required intimate knowledge of all three comrades with each other in perfect sync, and tactically was a bad idea anyway when they could simply have one block all attempts to escape. However, Gunter used the time to prepare his own magic spell as Gunter replied to the old man. "And I cannot let you harm my allies, no matter what I have done or they. To throw your words back at you, I cannot allow you to live." The words were only a distraction as he let the old man register them. During that time, before he said "prepare" Gunter quietly casted the spell. The time Gunter had to cast the spell proved worthy, for his air support magic was quite powerful as it would presumably reach Aeris and Ming. This spell would allow them to be blessed by Egla, Goddess of the Sky, or so Gunter thought and they will find abnormal speed and agility were now with them for a while. Normally, Gunter would only use quick spells but he had a lot of time to prepare for this one.
Upon the words "Prepare" Gunter opened fire with his assault rifle with controlled bursts while preparing another spell, this one a bit quicker. It was Earth magic this time, and it was to create a barrier long enough for Gunter to dodge the attack. He saw rain, undoubtably to stop any fires as they expected that from him. However, accustomed to using all senses in battle Gunter heard the dragonkin behind him. He would also have to attempt to dodge, but if Gunter got caught by the tail he would take out his sword and slice it off. That is, if Gunter's magical shield did not protect him.
Either way, Gunter knew they were outgunned and outnumbered with too much to protect, so he they would have to change the battlefield. The enemy may be able to go all out in that instance, but that was ok, for they could as well.
