I like the concept, I will hopefully have a support soldier heading your way soon.
Great to hear! Can't wait.
[@LetMeDoStuff] So I've picked a picture for my character, and he holds the exact equipment that I wanted to show (Well, not really but its my biggest inspiration). It's from a Vietnamese FPS shooter game, so he is Vietnamese. So I wonder if I can make my character a half Russian half something else. Sure it's a Soviet based RP, but I think having a half Russian half Vietnamese soldier might be fun. I'll make sure to handle with the background to make it plausible
You can, actually. I have multiple lore figures surrounding the different communist countries around the country. For your sake, this is Veitnam's story. In 1926, the Vietnamese signed a contract to allow Russian teachers to come into their country and form extended linguistic teaching in the hopes the two countries could become allies in an expected worldwide war to come. Whilst the French regained its control of Vietnam early on in the War, it also became the place of regrouping after the French and capitulated. They spent two years preparing a mass invasion for Italy, gaining the help of the Volunteers from Saigon and Hanoi. The invasion force grew to be 632,000, 421,000 of those being French military personnel. On August 7th, 1945, the fleet began their journey towards Italy. Here, became one of the greatest disasters of the war, The Naval Engagement at Sicily. The combined French and Vietnamese military, though with many differences in the past, strongly headed for the beacheads of Sicily and Southern Italy. Both fleets headed straight into a blockade of three Spanish and Italian fleets, where a colossal Naval battle emerged. Many of the Vietnamese and French soldiers were killed and drowned before they even got a chance to fire their guns. In the midst of the Chaos, the F!set scrambled their landing craft and headed for their rendezvous points. A total of 54,000 of the original force managed to make it, and two French destroyers managed to escape the naval battle. Both landing parties were dropped in the midst of the chaos, suddenly trapped and forced to fight as they sought out to survive. Amongst the two weeks these soldiers had to survive, three only managed to return to the homeland alive. Sih Bao, an credited fighter of the Invasion Fleet, was the only Vietnamese soldier to survive. The two Frenchmen, before committing suicide for their failure, told officials in Vietnam that Sih was incredible in managing Street combat. His urban warfare stories published everywhere. Sih, being a hero in many eyes, caught the attention of the Russian allies. After the two countries had allied a decade ago, designated towns were built in Russia to accommodate Vietnamese migrants. They recruited Sih as a Urban Specialist and advisors, eventually pushing him onwards to train additional units. He attracted thousands, who ended up making a Viet-Russian division for Russian speaking Vietnamese men and women, who were deployed for urban combat. An reserve division of the same name were also deployed. Eventually, Sih Bao was pulled from his position, and entered as a training instructor for the programme "Squad 914".
