So Air draining would result in 0 oxygen and if drawing too much the area it effects will expand and will eventually include the area around the Air Aedis who would then die. 

Light draining is strange in that say you drain light from a camp fire, you would eventually snuff out the flame and if you did it too quickly, the fire would never be able to be lit again (without getting new wood etc). If you were to drain from a star it would have disastrous consequences if overdone as it would alter the ability for that star (like our sun) to support life on other planets and could even cause the star to implode. Light Aedis are warned to avoid drawing power from sources such as stars for that reason.
