Hart realized she'd been in the limo long after everyone else left. She'd needed some time to think. It was crazy how a couple months ago she'd been in the orphanage without a home and without a real bed even. Now she had a bed and friends and she lived on the beach! She sighed, getting out of the limo and looking out across the ocean to the horizon. She smelled the air. It smelled of sea spray and hope. She headed into the house and straight for the kitchen; passing John, Nic, Krait, and Jacque. Opening the fridge, she looked inside. "Oh my gosh! They have the old fashioned soda bottles in here!" She squealed. She hadn't had an old fashioned root beer since she was a kid. She picked one out and headed into the living room, a huge grin on her face. She perched on the edge of the fireplace ledge, facing the others in the room. They were speaking and she didn't know what to say to any of them so she remained silent, crossing her legs.
