That's actually kind of why I wanted to do something other than Gusto. Gusto is ENTIRELY searchers, and I wanted something a little closer to vanilla Psychics with their wonky banishment searches and stuff. The concept I have is a bit shaky so far, but I have the basic idea down. I think I'll probably go for a mixed archetype of various aqua, rock, and winged beast type weak tuners supporting a series of three high-level spellcasters by doing stuff like sending them from the deck to the graveyard when one supporter is destroyed by battle, setting up to summon them back when a specific other supporter is summoned to set up for pre-defined synchro combos of a specific tuner and a specific spellcaster. The resulting synchros would then be able to achieve different effects by shuffling different types of supporters back from the graveyard into the deck, while the archetype's supporting spell cards would shuffle spellcasters back in to achieve powerful effects, but the archetype's field spell would benefit from having multiple spellcasters still in the graveyard, making it a balancing act between having monsters available and powering up the monsters you've got on the field. In lieu of my usual Assault Modes, I'd also probably include some kind of XYZ or Fusion Monster requiring multiple Synchros to set up as a final ultimate trump card, just because I like having monsters that go steadily through different stages. What do you think?
This actually sounds like a good idea, though it simply depends on what the final cards look like. Speaking of...
