“Gutwrencha...” Vala mumbled almost doing an eyeroll. She had forgotten how 'amusing' orkish names were. Silly names aside, the greenskins were very annoying foe to battle for many reasons. At least in space you didn't have to worry about the spores. Here things were going to be different...

Then the 'plan' discussion began with the most abstract statements being thrown about like they were in an art museum about abstract art or something. Their leader had the idea to bring the squad to mark the occupied guns and then barrage destroy them with artillery. Good plan that destroyed precious infrastructure and encamptments they could make use of later. The astartes propose to go himself... When he's in that tincan. At least the psyker as annoying as she was most of the time had somewhat of a good idea. Unmanned tag would be best for this situation.

“For the servo skulls modification, you could leave it to me... I care not about what those archaic half mechanic fools think.” She stated and tapped her tool box.” I could make do with pretty much anything and still get results, though I'm not as keen on the plan to destroy the guns when we could have great use of them at a later date... Can't be helped I guess, but if it;s just about them shooting them down when we move with a dropship, we could just blackout the area of the guns. Without power most of the gun's systems wouldn't be usable. We could simply fly over and no one will be non the wiser.”

It seemed the majority of the group were fit and unharmed after their specific tasks had been completed. Herold had thought he and the Krieger Trooper had the most dangerous job, but he should have known the psyker would have come back in disarray. The Arbites had known her long enough (which still wasn't quite that long) to know she was a ticking time bomb, that somehow happened to explode and reassemble only to explode again. One day, there would be a daemon possession, and it would be the last time...

He brushed those thoughts aside, and stood there as a statue as the others conversed. It still did not sit right with him that the others felt they could discuss this in such free terms. The commander had asked for questions, not questioning. "This is not a discussion. We have our orders," he said, his voice a stark, deep baritone. The Adeptus Arbites had complete jurisdiction over the Imperial citizens of his sector, and his superiors had complete jurisdiction over he. It was the way of civilization.

"My question is, do we go in separate groups or attack one section at a time?" Herold gripped the haft of his weapon slightly tighter, showing he was ready to set about the brutal work of taking their objective and killing anything that dared impede their path.

After listening to each squad member share their thoughts on the next assignment, Aviza slowly raised a hand part way into the air to silence the unrest that seemed to be growing among her own soldiers. In her normal, emotionless tonce of voice, she gave the orders she had originally decided upon. "I have heard and thought upon each of your opinions but none of them have swayed me into taking another course of action. We will follow the original plan that Nova and I have created." Aviza pointed at the holographic map of the city once more but traced her left index finger along a row of buildings that lead to the closest Ork manned anti-aircraft cannons. "Using the interior of the large residential and industrial buildings that are connected to each other will give us a chance to move through the city to the first anti-aircraft cannon and mark it while remaining unnoticed. The other three are in less condensed areas and will prove more of a challenge to move about while keeping our presence unknown. I have a number of ideas on how to get to them but that all depends on how the first objective goes." Aviza looked around at her squad then finished what she wanted to say, "Alright, follow me and remember the path we are going to take."

"I'll be here on coms if you need anything, keep in touch and let us know when you are nearing the first objective." said Nova, giving Aviza a stiff salute before returning to the console in front of her.

After grabbing her equipment and a number of extra supplies they would need for their mission, Aviza would motion for her squad to follow her towards to the vehicle bay. On the way there though, the Sister of Battle stopped in her tracks at the hallway that had once been filled with massive shards of concrete and metal. The ceiling, walls and floor were drenched in a thick crimson blood, the blood that soaked part of Adrianne's armor. A few Imperial Guardsmen could be seen attempting to clean up the mess with little to no effect, they were only making more of a mess in the surrounding area and of themselves. The lights in the hallway had vanished so they had to use glow-sticks to illuminate the area, making the scene look even more noxious. "This explains quite a bit." said Aviza, taking a moment to glance back at Adrianne then to proceed forward through and out of the hall as if everything was fine and not out of place.

Once she stepped into the vehicle bay, Aviza looked around her and took note to the wide variety of vehicles that packed the area. The only issue was that there was not enough ammo to arm all of them, or enough people to man them. The thought of taking a tank and using it against the Orks crossed her mind but she quickly pushed that aside. That would make them one huge target, and the last thing they wanted to do was to have the Orks charge again while they were away from the Imperial Guardsmen headquarters.

"Stick with me and remember to remain as silent as possible." said Aviza while she checked over her gear one more time, just to make sure. The image of a minimap appeared in the upper left hand corner of her visor, showing her exactly where they were and where they needed to go for their first objective. "Let's move out and get this over with." Without saying another word, she stepped out into the storm that had now moved over the city,

"I should have known better than to think this team of space-cowboys would ever turn down the chance to ever go on a highly-dangerous up-close mission with one of the most brutish xeno races in the galaxy! I'm surrounded by martyrs!"

There was no secret throughout the rest of the briefing that Adrianne's purple eyes remained on the lone Krieger of the group, Ansgar, the psyker's current looming stare of accusation dark enough to almost match that of the most haughty imperial magistrate and judge!

It was the kind of stare that from a Psyker could realistically make one worry that one's next future thirteen generations might be cursed!

It wasn't until that the briefing was over that Adrianne followed the rest of the group to the vehicle bay, the grumpy look on the Psyker's face only fading for a moment she briefly stepped beneath a broken and running water pipe on the way to catch a quick shower; but the grumpy expression would return just as quickly as she stepped back with the group.

As they passed through the vehicle bay, a hope briefly flared in the Psyker's heart as she saw the large, looming figure of an Imperial Guard Leman Russ tank sitting between a set of floodlights!

Or, more specifically, it was an 'Exterminator' class Leman Russ tank, featuring a set of Twin-Autocannons fixed to the turret in order to give the tank maximum killing power, and the ability to chew through entire building blocks like a shredder against a particularly vulnerable piece of cheese! It was a wicked piece of weaponry, and a favorite birthday gift to any Emperor-loving murderous psychopath!

Alas...

... as they stepped out into the storm on the outside, Adrianne let out a disheartened sigh as she realized she would not get to pilot a vehicle of death anytime soon, and she put on her skull helmet with a click.

Ansgar, perhaps surprisingly, completely ignored the comment from the Arbites about following orders. Not all operations were founded on blind adherence, which might surprise some to hear from a Krieg born guardsman. However, between engineering and grenadier work, one quickly realized that the best laid plans go awry the fastest. Options meant one could shift to another plan in a hurry, but options for options sake was not a good thing.

Orders, however, were orders, plain and simple. The Krieger nodded briefly as the Celestian meted out her orders, staying to the original overall plan. "Understood, ma'am.". He was also not oblivious to the glare that he was receiving from the psyker, and while one might be concerned for their following generations, Ansgar wasn't. Krieg soldiers were not part of the reproductive efforts of Krieg, and Kriegers didn't retire from the Guard so they were never involved, not that most people outside of Krieg would be aware, or care for that matter. Cursing descendants that wouldn't exist was a rather entertaining waste of time though, at least to the Krieger.

Ansgar met her glare with an even look, eyes not even narrowing in irritation. It almost invited her to imagine a shit eating grin, lingering a second too long, showing absolutely no fear from a psyker with a problem with his rebuttal to her idea. Of course, there couldn't be that kind of grin, since what sort of Krieger would he be if he ever smiled?

Regardless of the truth of the matter, which shall be left to the imagination of those that had seen the exchange of looks between the two, Ansgar ignored the Imperial armor as they moved out. There were no vehicles suitable to a stealth operation present, so it did not cross his mind to lament what was not available for them to take. Doing another check of his Type XIV (Heavy), he was satisfied with the fact it was in the same condition since he had last checked it. The impending rain merely registered on a sub conscious level, pulling his issued all weather trench coat a bit tighter over his carapace, and glanced at the psyker as she audibly sighed. "You sound displeased ma'am, almost like you'd prefer to drench more guardsman in warp spawned blood. Orks won't have much trouble finding sighs like that, they might appreciate the red paint job more too."

Herold gave a stiff not to the Celestian as she set them right with how they'd proceed. He kept his mouth shut and eyes ahead as he waited for the time to move, and when it was due, he marched with a purpose. Making their way out of the meeting room and through the halls of blood that looked like what he'd assume was a chaos worshipers dream. He snorted at the comment about the Psyker, and then continued forward with the rest with naught but a word.

The Vehicle bay was filled with Imperial armor, though to his surprise they didn't go with the Leman Russ Tanks, or even the Chimeras. He guessed it made sense, to be tactically less obvious. But with Orks, more protection never hurt. If only they had the grav vehicles. Herold had never ridden in one but he had heard rumors it was near silent in its advance. Dark Age tech was mysterious and hard to come by, however. He wasn't surprised none were here.

Stepping into the vehicle, he found himself a seat as the Kreiger trooper began his banter. "Orks'll appreciate us just fine, then." He said grimly, thinking of how this was probably going to get messy, despite the plans made.

Sadly her plan was not approved off. Even the plan of the psyker that was also significantly better than the plan thought up by their superior and that other woman wasn't approved. Vala couldn't help but roll her eyes as she put on her headgear and follows suit after Aviza. Destroying infrastructure and defenses that could be taken back and used later. The Imperium agents weren't concerned with the monetary or long term planning. They were all just meatheads that destroyed everything and then complained that their defenses weren't to par later, so instead just would throw countless souls to their deaths in return to do something that could have been avoided with some decent planning from the start. She truly didn't see whatever it was that the God Emperor saw in her race. As a person of the technology, she couldn't believe she'd cause such devastation damage to something they really needed.' I'm so nagging them later when we need those turrets with 'told you so' just you wait.' She thought in irritation.

“Storms...” She mumbled something like captain obvious, but she found it actually quite pretty so her voice reflected some respect towards the nature's phenomenon. If they could have such power at their disposal it would have been already done. Whatever those psyker said, it wasn't the same.

“Can we please get this done and over with...?” She asked slightly irritated.” Besides the greenskins like everything they can get their hands on. Doesn't matter where it came from as long as it can fight, be killed or jurry rigged in their tech and if it's alive beaten to mush for it's teeth.”

"Let us not have any more incidents with warp spawned blood, that would be ideal." said Aviza as the small mini map in the upper left hand corner of her HUD blinked slowly with the highlighted route they would need to take to the first anti-aircraft cannon. No time would be wasted while Aviza was in charge, she immediately started to walk towards the path and didn't even look back to see if her squad was following. The first building they would enter was a massive industrial complex that had multiple other large buildings connected to it, creating a maze of hallways, rooms and corridors. Approaching its two huge metal doors, Aviza would place her hands upon their handles and pull them open with ease, revealing its abandoned interior. Everything was still in place and fully functional, all of the machines and equipment were fully powered and prepped for work, it was as if every who had worked there had vanished without a trace.

"Watch your corners and keep your eyes open for anything out of place, I do not want to be ambushed by Orks in here." Aviza flipped a switch of the side of her custom bolter, changing the firing mode from automatic to semi-automatic. The underbarrel shotgun also had its rate of fire changed to semi-automatic, this would make both weapons more stable and accurate if they did have to fight in close quarters with the Xeno filth. Firing full bursts of automatic fire into everything around her could also quite possibly cause damage to the rare equipment they were bound to find. "Watch where you shoot if we run into hostiles, I want to minimize damage to all facilities and equipment." said Aviza as the safety upon her weapon was switched off.

Stepping into the lobby of the facility, Aviza scanned her surroundings and her HUD informed her that besides her squad, there we no other life signs inside of the building. It did inform her though that there was movement coming from a number of areas around them, their sources were unknown. "Perhaps drones? The Orks don't have drones unless they converted some from someplace, which is highly unlikely." said Aviza to mostly herself as she walked towards a set of large, heavily decorated, metal stairs that lead to the second story floor. Once they had climbed them and now found themselves looking down an impressivly long hallway, the soft hum of machinery could be heard, but something else could also be heard in the distance. "That sounds like..." Aviza quickly moved into an empty room on her immediate left then motioned for Adrianne to move to her side. "I need to take control of one of your Servo-skulls to scout out a bit further."

The sound that clearly did not belong there could now be heard nearby, it was a soft electronic hum that did not fit the description of any Ork technology. "It's a drone, not sure if it is hostile or friendly at the moment but we will find out shortly." There was a moment's pause before spoke again, "The Adeptus Mechanicus has a Legio Cybernetica facility upon this planet, but it is upon the other side of the city. Why would one or more of their creations be here, inside of this building and not out fighting the Orks?" This troubled Aviza's mind. Suddenly, all signs of movement from whatever was causing Aviza's sensors to go wild stopped, and all returned to its normal place. After an hour or so of waiting for more movement, Aviza spoke up. "We have an assignment to do, so let's carry it out then find out what Nova knows about this." they were on a timed schedule and needed to destroy the anti-aircraft weapons before the Warboss found the Titan and the Forges.

Carefully and quietly, Aviza moved out of the room and motioned for the rest of the squad to follow behind her, to keep with her pace, and to stay together. It only took a few short moments for the squad to check the rooms around them for anything out of the ordinary but no sign of whatever was causing their movement sensors to activate could be found. The rest of the walk to the first objective was uneventful, nothing else had happened and their sensors remained dormant. They would only activate themselves when the Ork manned anti-aircraft weapon could be seen in the distance. "Quad barrel automatic anti-aircraft weaponry with explosive rounds."

Aviza turned back to look at Vala. "Do you think you could eliminate the five Orks quickly and quietly before they notice what is going on?" Aviza dismissed that idea and merely used her HUD to mark a target for each member of the squad using colored icons. "When you have your target, let me know and wait to fire until I give the all clear, we will take them all down at once." Moving to give herself a better position, Aviza went prone upon the ground of the middle floor they were hiding in. After a few adjustments to her weapon, Aviza lined up her cross hair on her designated target and waited for everyone else to do the same. "Five ... four ... three ... two ... one ... fire." As soon as the Sister of Battle said fire, she pulled the trigger to her heavily modified bolter and watched her target's head explode into a fine crimson mist, the body falling limply to the ground.

"You sound displeased ma'am, almost like you'd prefer to drench more guardsman in warp spawned blood. Orks won't have much trouble finding sighs like that, they might appreciate the red paint job more too."

"Quite the opposite, actually." Adrianne would reply to the krieger's comment about drenching more guardsmen in warp spawned blood.
"First, it was a freak thing to happen. The warp doesn't literally bleed out into the materium every time I use my powers! And second, the blood is totally harmless on its own. We're going to get filthier fighing these Orks anyway."

"Let us not have any more incidents with warp spawned blood, that would be ideal."

"Why is everyone going on about the warp spawned blood like it was a big thing? It really wasn't! No one even died! Hfmmh.. " Adrianne let out another sigh of exasperation as she simply followed along with the rest of the group through the rain covered surface of the forge world.

Although the rain created an almost serene scene in the otherwise bleak, industrial dystopian landscape of the Adeptus Mechanicus forgeworld, the Psyker was fairly certain that the rain was toxic and acidic enough to the point that any human that spent a long enough time outside unprotected would presumably develop horrible rashes, skin conditions and probably lose their hair, which make Adrainne feel happy she was wearing a fully enclosed bodyglove.

*

"Watch your corners and keep your eyes open for anything out of place, I do not want to be ambushed by Orks in here."

"Orks? Ambush?"

As they stepped into the building, Adrianne had to forcibly withhold a giggle from behind her skeletal mask. The very notion of those greenskinned brutes attempting anything close to what resembled an organized ambush was as ludicrous as the concept of a kind and caring arbites! Orks were loud and noisy, and preferred to make everyone within a radius of multiple kilometers aware of their presence with loud shooting, engine noises and general shouting. She wasn't even sure if she had ever seen an attacking Ork NOT scream out at the top of their lungs, wave their chopper around and fire at full auto when attacking their foe!

The closest thing resembling an 'Ork ambush' usually happened when said Greenskins >accidentally< walked right into an enemy patrol without knowing it.

*

*BAM* *BAM* *BAM*

"Stealth was never an option I guess... !"

Adrianne privately thought as she stood behind the firing line as they just opened fire on the Orks, dropping them immediately! Although the shots would surely mark the beginning of the countdown, as soon every bored greenskin with a gun or a choppa in the nearby vicinity would start moving their way to see if there was any fun to be head.

"Clear the path to the gun. I can destroy it myself." Adrianne said to the rest of the group.

The Psyker positioned herself next to one of the heavy cathedral like stone pillars, taking some cover and evading sight as she waited for the rest of the party to deal with the enemy chaff.
Whilst she waited however, there was no secret that the Psyker's eyes were mostly on the Astartes, Nergui.

She was very curious to see what sort of combat antics the Space Marine might come up with. She had heard plenty of stories and seen untold countless propaganda films, but she had never actually seen an Astartes fight live on their side, and was very curious to find out!

Everything was sort of weird since the moment they got on this planet. Orks attacking wasn't unusual in itself, the fact they had targeted objects of great salvaging value was not unusual, but everything else seemed strange. It was just a hunch the engineer had, ubt something more was going on here, she wasn't sure what it was though.

When the quesiton about the possibilities to deal with the five orks in stealth without being found out. Vala was about to mention she had an idea or two about it, but before seh could do so, it was decided they'd each take down one. The former merc pulled her bigger weapon to take down the ork, though with this much firepower it was pretty sure she'd take out and damage everything behidn the ork she target too, so she toned down the power just for this shot.

With the order to fire, she quickly pulled the trigger also, the quiet hum happened for just a moment as the overcharged las weapon's multiple beams impacted int hte orc's head and in that break moment it burnt a huge hole through the hair, all the way on the other side. If she had kept hte power to maximum, there wouldn't be a head left at all, and pretty darn great chance that she'd have damaged the building also. This thing was build to take down heavily armored targets like space marines of any variety, tau and frankly anything big and scary.

"Well.. that's about it for these greenskins." She mumbled with a frown. Her las sniper cannon was doing a lot better than normal shot. Since the power output was lowered it didn't suffer as much of the drain. She'd have to watch it though. If she had 2 more shots in the current lowered output if hse put it to normal hte're be only one shot.

Ansgar shook his head briefly at the retort from the psyker, not continuing to pursue that train of thought. They had work to do, after all, and whether there was ulterior motives in the orkish motives or no, it was really all above the Krieger's need to know. Point him at the heretics and xenos, he would kill them all. That was his job, after all, not like the Inquisitor kept him around for his looks.

Once they happened upon the drone, there wasn't much that the Krieger could have said about the situation. It was all above him, drones of any sort were nothing that the Krieg employed, everything was done by hand, whether using tools or literally by hand, so the fact that such things would exist or be used was well and truly beyond anything he could figure out. He would rely on the others expertise in such matters, and kept moving forward after the group moved out again, sweeping and scanning with his Type XIV (Heavy).

Upon finding the Orks, Ansgar listened to the orders and nodded, raising the Type XIV (Heavy), training it on his designated Ork. Orders were orders, he would follow them out. Upon the signal, he opened up with a clipped burst of las fire, the weapon overcharging each round and he forced down the recoil, tracking the burst from the top of the Ork head, down the next and back up, ensuring complete vaporization of the Ork's head. Was the overkill necessary? Perhaps, perhaps not, but he'd put the Ork down, so that was that. Unlike the others, he kept his peace, scanning the surroundings and waiting for the next orders or trouble to arrive.

It was not the two completely unintelligible plans proposed by the humans that bothered the black-clad Apothecary, nor was it the numerous – apparently surreptitious – looks that he was given any time 'stealth' was mentioned; these fools clearly believed that he would even allow himself to be seen, or that because of his armour and size it would make it harder for their overall objectives. If anything this made him chuckle within the illuminated and flashing interior of his helmet, blink-clicks on his HUD transferring pictures of their expressions for later analysis and, although he went through things absent-mindedly in this small world of his own, he took in everything that was said or done at the same time.

Soon enough a decision was made, the only one that truly counted in this rag-tag group, and Nergüi followed along behind the smaller figures in almost complete silence. Contrary to popular belief, his Corvus pattern armour moved with a fluidity and quietness (at least to those on the outside) that earned it its name as a second skin for the Astartes, his Black Carapace making it more-or-less precisely that. With his enhanced vision, hearing and smell, the psyker and the rest had no need to worry about him...it was to their own sounds that they should pay attention.

No, it had been at this point, when they had entered a vehicle section and simply walked past them, that the Astartes had finally felt a pang of sadness at their task. He was a White Scar, born and raised upon the back of a horse on the plains of Chogoris, and any chance – even for an Apothecary – to man or travel within a blessed vehicle of the Imperial military was one not to be squandered. The expression and sigh of disappointment from Adrianne did much to mirror his own, unseen, feelings on the abandonment of those beloved resources.

As they moved through the pouring torrent of rain, not unnoticed by the Marine but with any noise or visual obstruction filtered out quite handily by his armour, Nergüi kept his ears sharp and his filters constantly shifting. If there were any Greenskins abroad, and he knew there would be, he wished to find them and eliminate them before they clocked the frankly fragile group.

By the time they reached first contact, five Greenskin 'Boyz', the lowest of the fully grown hierarchy, he was almost dying for a fight. He was, after all, and in spite of his chosen profession within the Chapter, still a being forged for a single purpose...his Deathwatch training and assignments had only heightened his need to slay the xenos, mutant and heretic wherever he may find them. Not only that, but he had smelt them long before the group had seen them, one fist twitching to pull his bolt pistol from his hip and fire through the walls of the building and straight into them.

The countdown began, and very soon there was but one bewildered and angered Ork left, an Ork that the Apothecary would not bother wasting precious energy or ammunition on but would instead leave to whomever wished to take the final shot and dispatch the creature to hell.

"Clear the path to the gun. I can destroy it myself." Spoke the psyker to the rest of the group, moving her very confident self behind a nearby pillar – probably the best option, for if the Orks had heard them over the storm outside (unlikely as that was), then they would soon be in for quiet a ride.

Slowly, as if feeling a niggling in the back of his mind, he turned his head (and thus his beaked helmet and shimmering eye-plates) to glance at the seven-foot mind-warrior, the visored helmet clearly looking in his direction not all that different to his own. A target-rune flashed into his vision, a blink-click rendering it redundant for the moment, and without a word spoken he turned his head back to watch what would become of the last Ork left standing.

Come and get us.

Herold was on edge, his shotgun out and ready. The barrel positioned at every doorway, every corner, every creak of the complex they traversed. The drones were unexpected, but not entirely a bad thing. He'd used a few before in his time back on some of the less explored worlds he had brought the Imperium's justice on. But redirecting their programming was beyond his skill. Luckily he wasn't alone up there.

Once they made it to the vantage point, he couldn't make out the five Orks that were being eliminated. He didn't even have a weapon that could reach him, his shotgun built for short range devastation. However, he set up his shield over the closest opening that the enemy could give return fire in, setting it down and shoving it in place with his maul, before un-holstering his shotgun once more. He might not be able to do much at the moment for the group, but they wouldn't be caught unawares on his watch either.

"Stand back, I can take it from here... " Adrianne suddenly spoke over the comms as the Psyker stepped out from behind the heavy gothic pillar.

She had watched the group dispatch the minor group of greenskin with noisy but brutal efficiency. There was only one Ork boy left at around the anti aircraft gun.

The Ork in question had taken one look in their general direction, then down at the large heap of metal in his fat hands that he called a 'shoota', before concluding "Zog dis, Iz need a biggah one!" and making a beeline for the protection of the armored panels of the heavy anti aircraft gun, disappearing from view. The four heavy barrels of the gun started to move slowly in their general direction just as the Ork vanished, as they could hear the frantic swiveling of a rusted crank from the other side as the ork tried frantically to bring their anti aircraft gun towards them.

The Psyker, on the other hand, strode out into the open.

Raising her staff and pointing it towards the anti-aircraft gun, she took a second to concentrate, whispering a low, eldritch chant, before uttering a single world.

"Malleus."

The word seemed to have an almost ethereal ring through it to anyone in the vicinity, as if it traveled straight past helmets and earpieces and scratched the very surface of their minds!
In an instant, a bright, violet flash would appear from the tip of Adrianne's staff; accompanied by an unnatural shriek that seemed to emanate from nowhere and everywhere all at the same time; as a twisting and sparkling violet ectoplasmic ray fired out of it! It arched and dashed madly towards the anti-aircraft gun as it was swiveling towards them! The psychic ray made contact, hitting the armored plate and barrel of the anti-aircraft gun, and when it did, it surged and melded across the lower end of the barrel and plates, acting much like a supernatural plasma cutter!

A large section of the core of the gun, alongside multiple parts of the armor and barrels were promptly melted, a fine pink smoke rising from where the metal was turned into liquid!

The Ork behind the armored front plates of the gun was annihilated instantly as a part of the ray punched through the heavy plates in front of him, severing his arm in a psychic surge of searing energy! The Ork barely managed to let out a howl as the energies moved to the rest of his body, causing his torso to explode in a viscera of gore! The Ork's howl could still be heard for a moment even after his physical body had been destroyed, a small green light visible before it was quickly snuffed out behind the gun.

"Greenskin anti-aircraft gun destroyed. They won't be using that one for a while." Adrianne said as she took a step back to turn towards the group.

In a straight path between the psyker and where the ray had traveled to the gun, the ground was suddenly corroded and withered in a straight line. Sides of metal cogs and plates had rapidly started to rust, parts of rocks turned to dust, and slight, purple ghostly motes hung in the air. And the gun itself was a ruined, half-melted pile of metal.

As the gunshots simultaneously rang out, all of the Ork's dropped, all of them but one. "Someone didn't follow my direct orders and left their target alive, who was it?" Aviza narrowed her eyes and quickly whipped her head to the left, glancing about, hoping to catch a sign of the perpetrator. "Which one of you didn't follow my orders?!" asked Aviza in an irritated tone. Quickly turning her weapon back to the Ork, she noticed that it had climbed into the seat of the anti-aircraft cannon and was slowly turning it towards them. If it would open fire upon the building, it would easily bring it down and shred them to pieces. Quickly raising her heavily modified bolter, she took aim at the Ork's head but then lowered her weapon once she saw Adrianne walk into the weapon and raise her staff. The world seemed to have an almost ethereal ring that now traveled through it and anyone in the vicinity. Suddenly, a twisting and sparkling violet ectoplasmic ray of fury fired out from the Psykers staff and soon after, all that was left of the anti-aircraft cannon, was a molten pile of metal. Once the amusing and impressive spectacle was over, Aviza stood up and and looked about around her. Everyone was still in one piece, including her squad and herself.

"That's sure to draw the Orks attention, wasn't the most ... subtle way." said Aviza through her com as she quickly made her way out of the building and towards Adrianne. Gently but swiftly, Aviza placed her hands on either side of the Psykers midsection and pulled the woman back from the melting anti-aircraft cannon. "Back on up Miss Psyker, it could still explode." Aviza would move the Psyker backwards, using the power-armor to help her. Suddenly, what was left of the weapon would explode causing the two to fall to the ground. Aviza would roll out of the way of the Psyker as she fell so that the two wouldn't collide with each other. "See! I told you that was going to happen!" Aviza pulled herself up off the ground and offered to help the Psyker to her feet, "let's get moving before Orks show up!"

"Where's dat explosion coming from? I didn't tell the boyz to blow something up yet!" 'Big Mek' Graz "Hugkilla" grunted as he walked across the ruined half-open top of an imperial warehouse building; his junk cybernetic leg slamming into the floor with every step; before watching out across the industrialized skyline of the forge world to see a plume of multi-colored smoke rise up from the distance.

"Dat was where the southern sky gun was, boss!" Sounded the raspy, nasally voice of a gretchin frantically typing away at a janky typewriter, one oversized headset situated over the gretchin's smaller head.

"WOT?" Graz exclaimed, turning around.

"The boys loaded the shells the wrong way again, didn't they?!"

"I dunno, boss! But it definitely went boom! Lots of highly Orky sources say it went boom!"

"THOSE ARE MINE GUBBINS!" Graz exclaimed, turning around as he walked towards the edge.
"WOTS THA POINT OF STEALING THOSE 'UMIE GUNS IF DA BOYS ARE JUST GONNA WRECK 'EM!?! Grrrr... "

Graz stepped onto the edge of the building, having to push his own bloated guts inwards in order to look down at the amassed Ork buggies and motorcycles below, most of the boyz either busy trying to make vague attempts at fixing their vehicles, whilst the rest seemed busy leading a particularly ornery squig around with a snotling attached to a stick as live bait!

"Oi! Listen up you daft speed grotz!" Graz called out.
"Someone just blew up my big gun just south of here, past dat big mechanical-human-statue-thingy! I want you boyz to go down there and beat the snot outta anyone you find at the site, gottit?!"

"Zog off, we're busy!" One of the Orks called back.

"Graah... if I was down there, I'd be busting your heads right about now... but since the stairs are so zogging long. Alright, the first git at the site will get my completely new Engine Boostah 3000!!"

Almost in an instant, as if Graz had just said the magic word, the boyz beneath froze up, looked at him; and after a brief second of silence (minus the terrified screams of the snotling bound to the stick), the Orks suddenly threw themselves past each other in a wild race to get onto their various buggies and motorcycles, loud blaring engine noises and a few random slugga shots for good measures; as no less than a dozen decked-out Ork vehicles suddenly rolled out from the courtyard in a race towards the site of the explosion, flames and sparks gushing from their loud engines as they waved their weapons about!

And behind them came the lone squig hopping up and down in a wild chase, still trying to catch up with the snotling which had now been attached to one of the carts!

"Heh, work every time... stupid gits!" Graz "Hugkilla" chuckled, moving his wrist-mounted flamethrower up to his mouth to light a giant cigar.

Vala had the most irritated expression on her face that was nicely hidden behind the mask of her helmet. She just watched in complete absurdity how these imperium fools were destroying valuable technology they could simply disable and then reuse later after they clean up the Orks. So what if they killed a handful of Orks now. A few orks for a anti air turret of this caliber was a MASSIVE DAMNED WASTE. No longer she the imperium was in this state. They didn't value what they had and destroyed everything just cause it's convinient and later when they would need these guns, they would be without them and then they will simply exterminatus the planet cause it's convinient and there goes another habitable world with it's resources...

She had to struggle with the overwhelming urge to shoot the psyker right in the head, but held it. The mess was big enough already. She just sighed, flicking the switch on her las cannon from firing mode to standby, it automatically folded up some parts, making it a lot easier to carry.

The order to get the hell out before the greenskins show up was given so she didn't waste any time in doing so. 'I wonder if not dying on the interrogation table was a blessing or a curse after all...' She thought in her mind.

Ansgar knew damn well who wasn't able to bring down their target, but unlike the irritation that was resounding in a certain sister's voice, the Krieger kept his peace. Ordering a man with a shotgun to snipe an Ork was folly, and the fact it wasn't taken into consideration that one of them would have to bring down two targets was on the lot of them, not just the Arbites. With that, that nagging sensation of ethereal warp power was again resonating and it took a concentrated amount of focus to not turn his weapon on the psyker just in case. While salvaging the gun would have been nice, in the grand scheme of things they lacked the manpower to secure, move, and man the weapon. So better to destroy the weapon emplacement than risk the Orks getting it back up and running, and make do with what resources they had as they needed them later on.

Sweeping his surroundings with the Type XIV (Heavy), the Krieger did not safe his weapon, continuing to monitor their surroundings as the orders were given. Get moving before the retaliation was going to happen.

"Waking up means the Emperor is not done with you, so it is a blessing." Leave it to Ansgar, a man of Krieg, to see the fact that they yet lived as little more than Emperor's providence to continue doing his work. Considering their mentality, Kriegers that is, it was hardly surprising.
