I wanted to get our crew's feedback on an idea I've had regarding relationships. How do you feel about Captain Boone being a father figure of sorts to the crew? He is older by quite a bit to even the second oldest and he has ambitions to help his nakama. It would be like Whitebeard in relationship to his own family. Let me know what you think and if you want the idea to go into play, like this post.

@Leaves Want to have Dirk point out Feya's weird skin tone with no self-awareness whatsoever as an event in their past? It'd be funny because not only is Dirk as or nearly as pale as her, but he's easily able to accept much weirder things like people turning into skeletons. Perhaps he'd do so due to comparing her to previous people he's seen more directly, since she's not got anything else obviously different about her the way Caesar, Bonesword, and Lilliana do?

@Leaves Pretty much. "You are really pale" sort of bluntness, with no acknowledgement of how pale Dirk himself is, which I imagine would set off a rant from Feya about how pale Dirk is, and a corresponding argument occuring due to Dirk flipping out mildly incoherently in response.

@Leaves If you can, it'd be great if you could join either the skype group, or the discord group, so that these sorts of discussions can work faster. We also need to hash out when Feya joined in relation to the others, and the circumstances that surround that event.

That was one of my concerns for my character. You guys would have needed to help me complete an endurance trial while maybe potentially saving me from danger.

@Asura@yoshua171 I still need to discuss how Dirk interacts with your characters. We could do that in the Discord, or on the thread, or in the Skype chat. Wherever works for me. Preliminary suggestions:
Isuza: Dirk might be just "okay" with her, on account of seeming to provide little impression other than "she seems nicer than the guys who had me as a slave, but then so do plenty of the other people here too". I suppose he'd be a bit concerned about the teeth-pulling thing, given that he couldn't grow teeth back on his own, and if she drinks, he's immediately concerned about it, same as with everybody else.
Lily: I might have proposed this before, but it could be the case that rather than considering her a motherly figure, Dirk's actually a bit weirded out by how "pushy" she can be about looking after people, her switching between fine details and wide scale on an apparent dime, and her generally mercurial temperament. Once again, there's no self-awareness here about how easily Dirk lapses into anger with minimal pushing. I also figure he could become more attached to her with time and consideration or something; we can hash that out as necessary.

Since my timeframe doesn't work well with the people left to work with, I'm going to work up my relationships tomorrow as I see them and let the other side give me feedback.

I'll make mentions when my edits are done tomorrow, and we can figure things out from there.

Caesar Inu:

Feya never quite had a connection with animals. She never had a pet or close relations to an animal. If she did have an interaction, it was mainly with wild-life creatures during some nature hikes or dangerous trials. Most of the animals she has seen were not tamed.

Feya doesn't technically know what a mink is, but she could only guess the characteristics of the animal are applied. She was hoping for an energetic pup but was disappointed to find Caesar to be lazy. Nothing more than Feya dislikes is people leading toward a sedimentary lifestyle. Also, the dude farts frequently.

Dirk Messir:

Dirk honestly creeps Feya out. She wasn't sure what to expect from him. The first interaction they had did not entirely go well. The pale male made an offensive remark about Feya's skin. This only sparked a number of back-lash remarks and nearly ended in a fight. Feya still found the individual to be odd.

She did spend some time diagnosing him discreetly. The woman was more specialized in physical health, but even her expertise could tell he was suffering from something. All the symptoms pointed to schizophrenia. Feya understood Dirk's abnormal behaviors and actions. After finding out, she decided to roll along with whatever weird thing he does. Though she is not too afraid to scowl him when things go over the line. She does recognize that he must have terrible history given his mentality. Feya does find common ground with them both having pale skin conditions.
